Also, start with the door in the closed position. ### ⭐ No good *by D***E on December 19, 2020* My wife and I tried to get this to sync up with both of our garage door openers. One garage door openers were made by linear and the other by LiftMaster. Both of them are less than 5 years old. I am a very highly technical person and no matter what we did it would not sync up until we tried it about 20 times and by that point the battery was dead. The directions are extremely confusing because it wants you to press a program button on the remote control but that doesn't seem to make any difference when you actually try to sync it up. Every time we tried to sync it up all it did was turn the light on and off but would never open the garage door. After replacing one of the batteries we got it to open one of the garage doors but the second button never worked. The second remote control is sitting on my desk with a dead battery. I ended up ordering another remote control from LiftMaster. Don't waste your money. This opener may work great for old garage door openers with dip switches.
