how does the 80v back model compare to the 80v handheld version?

Handheld better for frequent short uses, backpack for extended use. .... I debated this before settling on handheld, for my yard with not yet fully mature trees, happy with handheld, but while not really heavy it weight wears on arm more than expect when using for herding leaves. Battery blowers allow for so many more uses than gas blowers, makes it a good tool for people never needed leaf blowers, this where the handheld shines. Sweep the patio off in 2 seconds, blow off the mower, various projects working on, dry car .. the ability to pick it up and do a quick blast with no time lost makes it a different tool. Can do that with backpack too, look has a hand grip for using without putting on back but I hang my handheld on a nail/hook by garage door tracks for faster access than I'd have w/ backpack.

Can someone tell me if the weight listed (14.64 lbs) includes the weight of the battery?

Hello there, The weight of this unit without a battery is 8.4 lbs and with the battery (2.5Ah) it would be approximately 12 lbs.

Battery is stuck in unit!! Won't come out!! Does anyone know what i can do to remove it?

Hello John, Please see page 12 and Fig 4 in your manual. To remove. 1. Press and hold the battery release button. 2. With a firm grip. Grasp the battery firmly and pull the the battery out of the backpack.

Is the 80 volt replacing the 60 volt? lowes have an awesome rebate right now on the 60 volt however it's pretty hard to find reviews on the 60

The 60 is awesome. I have it and the Kobalt 80V, which is like this one. The 60 comes with a 5Ah battery, which holds much more energy. The only thing I wish it had was a fast charger. But at $250 with a free 2nd battery, it's a no-brainer.
