Yes. Will you find a water bottle that never leaks? No! Go ahead and look at the reviews for every single pet water bottle on the internet, people will complain about leaking for every single one of them. Often it’s user error, with people not sealing the lid tightly or not putting on the rubber ring seal correctly, or not following instructions. I have over a dozen of these water bottles and they work wonderfully and do not leak any more than any other water bottle.

Leaks constantly, does not stop even when turned over for several minutes. We have had may water bottles over the years - this one is the worst.

Love this waterer! At first I was concerned because it leaked from the drinking spout when we set it up. But it didn't take long before the leaking stopped and it's not been an issue since! I love knowing that I can leave my rabbits for a day or 2 and they will have plenty of water.

My son was begging for a bigger waterer for when we had lots of baby bunnies. He was thrilled with this GIANT! However they immediately started leaking. But then they have since stopped?! I have no idea why...maybe the heat, maybe just being used longer? Anyway, he said he used to have to fill them up every day or multiple times a day. Now the babies are gone so he has them on our male cages and only has to refill them every few days. Nice for when it's hot out and they need a lot more water. We will need to go back to our bowls in the winter but for summer use these are great.

We use these for our pet rats. They are easy to fill, well-made, and easy to hang on the cage. I highly recommend these for small animals.

I saw all of the negative reviews about it leaking. But I thought it must be something with the blue screw on cap and not the steel ball. And I had a few ideas for fixing that so I ordered it anyways. Sure enough, when assembled according to the instructions it just leaked like a sieve. So this is what I tried: Teflon tape around the threads, did not work. Teflon, tape around the steel pipe to blue cap interface, did not work. Food grade silicone grease on the O-ring, did not work. Packed the inner blue threads with food grade silicone grease, did not work. Used a wrench to tighten the blue cap a little bit extra than you can by hand (completely unnecessary), did not work. So the problem is definitely with the steel ball and the steel tube for which there is nothing the end user can do. So this sucker is going right back.

This bottle is nice and big, so it holds plenty of water and the wide mouth makes it easy to clean. The problem is it doesn’t stay secured to the cage very well. It kept slipping, and I had to replace it right away. Works in theory, but not practical for daily use.

Great water bottle for larger pets. I use it for my ferrets as a backup water source. They have a bowl but dig in it and spill that water. The bottle hardware was a little bit harder to install on the cage than others, but still easily done. I have it attached to a critter nation. The bottle does not leak if you follow the directions. It WILL leak if you put cold water in it, they all do, because that's just physics. It does drip for a few minutes, until it seals.
