Venezinao is a thin plaster and is to be applied on a flat surface. Check that the wall is structurally sound. Use a latex primer before applying Veneziano.

When using for mixed media art, can oil paints be used to tint? I see you do not advise using acrylic paint tint.

Hello, we recommend paint pigments, the same they use in paint stores. Not the actual paint itself. And never anything oil based. It wouldn't mix at all.

Can I use it over a painted wood fireplace mantle and over the marble around the fireplace?

The Mantle and Marble should be properly primed with appropriate latex primers before application of Veneziano Plaster.

what about use over stucco. what prep is needed?

Over existing stucco? Sometimes depends on the stucco. Usually we recommend our Mineral Primer over existing stucco, and then one of our materials.
