Can this be used for candle making?

This can not be used as the wick.

how thick is this? candle wick thick? I want to use for macrame? too thin?

It is about as thick as a tapered candle wick and larger than a birthday candle wick. As for size in crafting... Macramé can be huge, made with rope or tiny made with embroidery thread. It is a matter of what you are making and how strong you need it and where you are going to put it. For a hanging lamp, it will last forever. For an outside heavy planter, will need to be treated so it does not weather. Treat any ends you do not want to fray and brush out any ends you want fluffy.
