I purchased cord long enough so I don't have to have the block exposed. But if you have no other option I'm quite sure if it's wrapped good with electrical tape. It shouldn't be any issue. I wouldn't let it be submerged underwater. **Q: Does this product also have the usb ac plug?** A: Yes it has 2 USB ac plugs. Cables & plugs look to be of good quality & have the correct magnetic plug for the camera. Replaced one with a Google branded cable and now that one is working fine.
