Instant fix and repair choice
I installed this Motircraft thermostat into my daughter’s 2003 Ford Explorer with a V8 that was overheating but with no leak in the system. It came with a new rubber gasket and fit perfect. It fixed the problem immediately. It came on time and was a great price. Only took probably 15 minutes to replace. I would definitely use this company again for my other cars. It has been 6 months through warm weather of California and it’s been working great and no overheating issues at all.

Excellent Motorcraft Part
Worked perfectly for my 2010 F150. Easy and quick install. The recommended thermostat. It replaced an aftermarket brand that failed. I have decided that it’s always best to use the OEM parts on my truck.

Its a genuine OEM replacement part.
After having a few (name brand) aftermarket thermostats that didn't last long, I ordered the OEM replacement. It might cost a few dollars more but if your luck is as good as mine with the aftermarket ones, you'll end up saving money by not having to replace it repeatedly. Make sure you order a new gasket to go with it as it doesn't come with one and they aren't reusable. Car has good consistent heat again, will update if it fails early but I really don't expect it too.

UPDATE: January 22, 2025 Have been running the truck and it is operating as normal. No overheating, no temperature gauge issues. Appears this item is legit and works as intended. ---------------- Installed but haven't started truck yet to test out as we haven't put the radiator in. However, looks like a good part. This is the first time we've replaced the thermostat on our 2001 Ford F150 supercrew (4.6L v8) since we bought it (used). The old thermostat looks to be an off brand though I couldn't find any markings on it but I did notice the inner hole was larger than this one. Not an expert on the cooling system to know if that means anything or simply a design aspect. Anyways, truck has the factory tow package and came with 1 core (per the vin spec site) so I assume this thermostat should be fine. We are replacing the radiator with another single core so hopefully everything works out. I prefer to use motorcraft (or oem) in pertinent places that I don't want to have to keep replacing. I'm not against aftermarkets but in some areas, I just don't want to have to replace multiple times in short periods when the cheaper versions fail. I feel the cooling system is critical and should be using oem parts to get the best performance and longevity.
