My winch had a different controller and this worked fine. Even comes with batteries. Just make sure you connect one color coded wire at a time. Works great! **Q: Will this work with a traveler winch from tractor supply?** A: Yes, as long as your winch is 12V, it can be adapted. In addition, some devices need to use relays to connect to the winch. Please confirm this before connecting. **Q: Using a badland 3500. Is there a delay in signal when releasing the in or out buttons ,causing the winch to run for a second or two** A: Yes. The reaction to button presses is not instantaneous. I notice the delay more on starting than on stopping. I'm using this remote control for the anchor windlass on my sailboat. It is replacing a $400 Lewmar original equipment remote and the delay on this remote is no better and no worse.
