DIY Zevo refills for MUCH less --- more than 90% discount :) :) :)
UPDATE - These have been working extremely well for me. I am adding my template. I cut the pieces three and five-eighths inches wide. I only cut one side and the top of my refills, for the other side and the bottom I use the edges of the trap. Although I wrote the height on the template, it's just the height from the red line to the bottom of the trap. Since the top of the trap isn't sticky, I cut most of that part off. I made the decision that it's ok to have adhesive almost all the way to the top. You could make them longer and cut the arch and dip farther up from the red strip. You would have more adhesive-free area to pull the trap off, but it also starts to get harder to pull the trap out from behind the bar on the Zevo insert. Happy catching! I am extremely happy about how well this product worked for a slightly off-label use. It turns out that this product makes a very reasonably-priced replacement for the grossly overpriced, proprietary Zevo UV light refills. Here's my story... A certain person let in some flies this summer and their progeny have been an extreme annoyance ever since. I ended up trying out an (overpriced) UV nightlight with fly paper, otherwise known as a Zevo flying insect trap. I didn't know if it would work, but I was sort of desperate. It turns out that once I found a good outlet for the light - not over a countertop with cabinets overtop but on a bare wall nearer the floor - the Zevo did a really good job at catching bugs, both the flies that I knew we had and a few fruit flies that I didn't even know were around. I wasn't entirely happy with it, though, since this is a $20 nightlight that uses UV light and refills were $7.50 for a two-pack. Fly paper seemed to work almost as well and is only 50 cents a roll. Flypaper is really gross, though, and I couldn't put flypaper in the room the flies liked, so the much more attractive and expensive nightlight won out. Since the light trap worked, my next problem was the refills. The refills have a special shape and a plastic insert that needs to be pushed into the lamp for it to be turned on. A reasonable safety feature since this light produces a little UV light, but also very convenient for Zevo in that it makes substitutions much harder. After examining the refill, I realized that it was just some sticky goo on a plastic sheet, and the glue could be scraped off. I went ahead and scraped off the glue. I STRONGLY STRONGLY STRONGLY recommend doing this with a new refill before it has any insects on it. Just trust me on that one. I first tried replacing their adhesive with double-sided tape which didn't work and was a real pain to get back off. Then I did some research online and found this product. Unlike the other fly window papers that I had found on Amazon or elsewhere, this one is bigger and I don't have to piece together two strips each time. Unlike double-sided tape, there's just a small strip of adhesive on the back. Enough to stick, not enough to cause much trouble when removing the trap for disposal. Turns out that the trap sheets are big enough that I can cut the papers in half and then trim them slightly and they fit the Zevo light very well. I'm still working on placement and hope to add photos if I can get the template just right. For now, I've put the 1/2 sheet fly traps just under the top plastic tab in the refill, rounded the bottom edges a bit, and it works. Within just a couple of minutes, I had my first victim. The window fly trap stays in the Zevo light well and is easy to remove. Yes, it's maybe 10 minutes of annoying work to remove Zevo's adhesive in the first place - but their refills are two for $7 or $3.50 each. With these (at the current price), it's 24 XL sheets for about $13 which means I get 48 refills (each sheet is cut in half) for that price or about 27 cents each. That's more than a 90% discount over Zevo's prices and means I can justify using the light. Also, when the Zevo company makes a product with the intention of requiring your repeated patronage for that product to continue working, then prices the refills so unreasonably, I must admit that I am filled with a sense of devious satisfaction when I rip one of these window traps off their refill and slap a new one in its place. Effective Trap, Long-Lasting
These work really well. Our house seemed to always have a fly or two, especially in the summer months. I purchased these hoping to get rid of the fly issue, and these pads have helped immensely! The best windows for us have been the dining and living area windows. Turns out certain windows attract flies more than others. Great value for the money. Easy to apply and catches anything that touches the trap. Please note: the pads in the pictures are probably 5-6 months old. They last a long time.

Super effective
Super sticky, super large, great price. Catches a ton of flies. Removes off the window without residue. All around win.

The strip that sticks to the window should be stickier. The trap side is good
I like the larger size of these, but the sticky strip on the side that should stick to the window needs to stick better. The trap side is sticky enough and works well. At least when it does drop off a window I can sometimes just wave it at a bug to stick the bug to the trap side. But to do that I have to be there and see the bug. If the stick-on part worked better these would be a 5. As is, I couldn't decide between 3 and 4.

These traps catch flies!
If you have flies like I do in my 100+year old farmhouse, these are for you. They are AMAZING! I put these in windows all over the house and in the attic and I have to change them every week or so all thru the fall because they catch so many flies! I stick them in the corners of the windows often under the blinds because it looks a little gross to have a full trap of dead flies. I buy lots of these and they work! Don’t hesitate to purchase if you have a fly problem.

Traps flying insects large and small
I love that the sticky strip keeps the fly trap in place. No need to chase houseflies with a swatter or spray harmful repellent sprays in your home. Just stick the trap in place and throw it away when the flies are caught. No mess. No spraying harmful fly sprays. I have a large mood-elevating daylight lamp mounted on my wall. The flies love it. The MaxGuard Window Fly Traps take care of the pests for me allowing my elevated mood to be undisturbed. The strips are easily peeled off any surface that you stick them to. No sticky fingers and no sticky residue left behind. I have shared mine with friends and everyone that I shared them with purchased more. One friend had ugly yellow sticky fly traps. Those worked, but they were ugly and literally shouted, "Look at me!". These traps are invisible until they are filled with flies. Then you just peel it off the surface and throw it into the trash. Easy Peasy.

Great concept!
I purchased the MaxGuard Window Fly Traps hoping to tackle a persistent summer fly problem in my home. While the quantity provided was ample, and the traps were easy to set up, I found that they were not as effective as I had hoped. The adhesive did trap some flies, but many of them seemed to escape or avoid the traps altogether. I think they may work if you leave your windows open and the flies enter through the windows, however living in Florida my windows are never open, the flies come in through the door when opened. They are easy to use and easy to dispose of. Additionally, the design made it difficult to peel off and dispose of. Overall, while the concept is good, the execution fell short in terms of effectiveness and convenience.

Very effective fly trap
Game changer! We live in an old house and get a plague of flies every year. Hundreds get in the house. It's horrible. I purchased the box of 60 strips and put them on the windows. It effortlessly caught the flies! Each strip got full of flies, so full that there wasn't room for any more flies. These traps mean I'm not chasing flies all day. The traps peel off easily and don't leave residue. I'm pleased with the quality of the product. I just purchased another box.
