I cannot express how much this has saved my life. When you can't sit on your bum and need to pee, this will save your life - I PROMISE! You'll want to take off your clothes until you get the hang of it. Also, have wipes ready to go (not inside the package). Even works if you get your period during your healing as I did. Then if you have to go #2.. they sell a toilet bolster/riser but I wouldn't spend on that. The best thing to do is lift the seat and sit on the wide bowl. Again, I PROMISE you that it's better and the butt doesn't touch. I would just have sanitizer wipes and wipe the bowl each time as you'll be using your hands to hold on to the bowl. When I no longer need it, I will still keep and use when on a road trip because I am the one who can't squat and pee outdoors without making a mess.

This was a godsend for the first 3 weeks post-op after having a hamstring repair, I am not sure how it would have been possible to go pee without it. A few thoughts for improvement tho... 1) you have to learn speed control so you don't overflow it when peeing, esp in the morning. 2) it takes practice where to "aim" and what height to "go" from for the least splash-back... 3) if you grab it too tight while peeing, it will collapse on you which... can have messy and embarrassing consequences, and 4) any design changes to help those scenarios would earn it 5 stars, but I think any lady urinals available today would have the same issues. Pros include: it's easy to clean, form fitting, easy to use once you get the hang of it.

I wish I had the Female Urination Device after childbirth. I recall not being able to sit down on the toilet due to pain. Now at 66 and a lifetime of hiking in the mountains my knees hurt when I squat and it is difficult to get back up. I am disgusted when the urine is splattering on my shoes. The minute my order arrived I tried it out in my bathroom and was amazed at the ease of use. No spillage or splattering. It is light weight folds up nicely, has its own bag. As a retired health professional, I like the siliicone material which is easy to keep clean. I plan to buy one for all my women hiking friends and for my daughter-in-law.

hahaha okay this thing is hilarious and it does work, i just did a test run and successfully peed standing up, thank you to everyone who believed in me. i got the green color, it is less bright and lime colored in real life, a little more foresty. i like this color less but it doesnt matter much to me. if you really wanted bright neon lime green like alien skin, this isn't really it. that's the only reason i give 4 out of 5 stars. otherwise perfect.
