Review: Don't understand why all the negative reviews because I for one enjoyed this book! It's gripping till the end The only thing I could complain about was the size of the book. It's very unconventional, a little on the larger size which makes it a bit uncomfortable in your hands but that's the only negative I can think of! Also, love the cover!

After ten years without seeing each other, Nora is going to her former high school best friend's hen do, which takes place in an isolated but very exposed house in a dark dark wood. There, Nora meets Clare's circle of friends and takes part in activities organised by Clare's best friend and bridesmaid, Flo. But on the last night, something terrible happens. While you read Nora's narrative about the hen do weekend, you also follow her waking up in a hospital and trying to recover the memories of what happened. I loved this book and got hooked from the first chapters. The atmosphere is dark, oppressive, stifling (good thing that Nora's friend, Nina, has a sarcasm that lightens up the tone). You know there is something wrong with the house, with the guests but you have to wait until the end to find out what. I truly recommend it to you, especially if you are fond of "behind closed doors" crime fiction, with a touch of creepiness and a lot of suspens.

oh my goodness. ruth ware. seriously. this girl has earned a spot in my top 5 right now. i will be the first to admit that i first checked this book out because of the cover. i’m very happy to tell you that the pages lived up to the cover! ruth ware has a phenomenal twisty thriller here. adequate amounts of booze and some maybe not so friendly rivalries at a hen weekend set the stage for this delightful read. (a hen weekend is a bachelorette party) we’re taken back and forth between our protagonist in the hospital as she recovers from wounds she can’t remember getting and the events of the hen weekend that have landed her in the hospital. a well crafted web of characters make this book easy to slip into. i devoured this book and immediately purchased it as a gift for someone and read the girl in cabin 10 because i wasn’t ready to be done reading ruth ware just quite yet! i can’t wait for her next book and am excited to see that this is being made into a movie! seriously. 5/5. loved it!
