Smaller rods will may slide back and forth when opening or closing your curtains. We recommend exchanging the 3/4" rod for a 1 inch rod if you open and close the curtains frequently. **Q: Is it plastic?** A: These are quality metal. My curtain rod is not very heavy but these brackets are sturdy enough for heavier rods than mine. I have them in my kitchen to cover my vertical blinds and they are great. **Q: The bracket falls forward and does not stay in place . I have tightened it? Is it too big ?** A: I would suggest checking the size of the rod you are using. Especially if the Nono bracket is tighten. It might be to heavy for the bracket. **Q: I have a 128 inch window, how many brackets should I buy to hold the weight of the rod and curtains?** A: I have one in the middle for a 72 inch window. So I would say in my opinion one every 3 feet should do it. Unless your curtains are super heavy. My curtains are very very light. If you had heavy curtains you could put one every 2 feet. Good luck!
