Does it fit a 42mm bb30 bracket?** A: The one I bought certainly wouldn’t fit that big of a diameter bottom bracket. It’s made for the standard type, BSA threaded BB, that is most commonly used on most bikes. If you have a BB30 just get a narrow/wide chainring and you won’t need this part. **Q: will this work on 1 x 10 ?** A: Maybe, if you have a BSA type bottom bracket but most people would just go with a narrow/wide chainring. **Q: How thick is the main plate ?** A: About...? Please specify exact thickness. It makes a difference in the chain line which is critical. If you have a 73mm BB this will negatively affect the chain line as there is a max of 2.5mm spacer for a Shimano external cup BB-MT-8000. If you have a 68mm BB you may just get away with it but "about 4mm" is not a good enough answer. Please give an exact measurement. Thank you. **Q: What is the difference between the bb mount and iscg05?** A: The BB Mount chain guide don't need bolts to install, you just need to take off the crankset and install the chain guide to the Bottom Bracket. Great price, nice anodized metal.You do need to remove your bottom bracket to install, and see what, if any spacers you are using.My setup is a DUB BSA bottom bracket, zero spacers between the bottom bracket. 1 x 4.5MM spacer on the outside of the bearing, since I use need boost spacing.Had to remove the 4.5MM spacer, replace with a 2MM spacer. The bracket is 3MM. Even then, the chain guide, with both spacers wouldn’t clear the chain ring with the chain on.
