You must turn on at the base first and then you can control the modes from the remote or power it on and off. But I see no info for connecting to a 24 volt supply. Explain pls** A: I hooked this beacon up to my golf cart that has six 6 volt batteries. I took the two power wires from the beacon and touched them across two 6 volt batteries (12volts) and the beacon worked.
