Can you see the read out in bright sunlight?

The read out is perfectly visible in bright sunlight. Never had a problem with mine.

How long is the probe wire ? What is the lowest voltage detected ?

I believe the lowest voltage would be 110v --- I'm not certain about that. The actual voltage probe is the the one sticking out on the top of the meter. The other that "tucks" inside is the ground probe. I think it's about 6 inches long

Are there well written instructions and exactly how long are the grounding lead ?... thanks!

Yes, there are instructions included in the package. The black piece at the top of the meter is actually the ground rod and stores in the meter. I don't remember exactly how long the wire is, but it seemed like it was nearly 2 feet long. I returned the one I purchased because the voltage that it was reading was a lot lower than the voltage my other meter was reading.
