I bought this about a year ago and received the exact description (including pictured labels and such) **Q: how many ohms per foot?** A: For 30-AWG wire about 0.1032-ohms per foot. I also checked my textbook "Electronics Fundamentals" by Floyd & Buchla, which give the same numbers for wire gauges as the web site link.I hooked up an ohmmeter to the reel I got and it showed 'infinity' for the black reel -- I'm assuming there is a break in the wire somewhere. With the green wire reel I got a reading of 72.3-ohms which works out to 700.5 feet. That seems a lot shorter than 1,000 feet, but I'm not going to start making accusations, nor am I going to unroll the whole thing to check how long the wire actually is. ;-)I've been soldering with this wire for sometime now without problems so I'm content with what I got.Though, I'm curious to know what ohmic value you get from your reel of wire? **Q: Are there markings on the insulation, or is the wire solid black?** A: This wire is so thin that even if it was marked you would not be able to read it. I have the 30 GA wire and it's only .026" in diameter. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this wire flexible?
