Really nice! holds details relaly well, just love it!
love this clay/wax! its more like a combo between a aculpting wax and a firm clay. It holds details really nice and I really love how firm is is and how its nice and hard until you work some in your hands. A fellow sculptor had bought some and sent me a small peice to see if I liked it as I can't afford to be buying clays I can't use and I just wasn't sure I'd like this. So she sent the little sample and I just fell in love with how it works in your hands and I ordered this right away! I also found the price here to be the lowest I could find online and I did search for the lowest price. I had thought that like other types of cly or wax clay which is what this feels like I'd need to heat my tools to sculpt the fine details but you don't need to! I do use a solvent though ( goo gone) as a smoothing agent after I have smoothed with my fingers whch only takes a very light touch.. its not quite like a clay like plastalina at all so if thats what your looking for this is a lot different. And I also use the agent to dip the tip of my tool into to make it glide across the clay better to make sculpting hair or making a smoother area eaiser to sculpt. I also like how you can just melt it down over and over again or heat it up to get it really loose and soft. You can also microwave it ( follow directions if you do!) or put it under a heat lamp which is what I do. I have a small halogen bendy arm desk lamp I use just for heating sculpting waxes and I used it for this too. If I put it really close for very long it will melt it to a liquid which you don't want or hold it a bit farther away it keeps it perfect! Just warm and easy to pull off a small clump to sculpt with and stays nice and malleable and warm. If you do small work you will love this suff because it holds tiny detail and you don't necessarily need an armature. If its really thin like legs you can put it in the feezer to firm it up so it holds its weight. As long as the (legs) don't get too warm again they will hold up the weight of the sculpt if its not too large ( lets say a dog or horse) perfect for micro sized sculpts too!

Best product ever!
I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of Monster Clay. Its non-stick properties and exceptional malleability are unparalleled in the market. This is truly a fantastic product, and I anticipate placing significant future orders. The primary challenge encountered is the necessity for continuous reheating or the acquisition of a slow cooker, typically ranging from $40 to $80, to maintain an optimal working temperature. While microwave heating is efficient, typically requiring approximately one minute, I have observed that the material cools more rapidly than it heats when utilizing this method.

Great for Artists who want to sculp for Reference Material...
This clay is Awesome!!! Aside from 1 sculpting class I took many years ago when I was in junior high, I am a complete newbie. But with nearly no experience, I am able to sculpture any pose I want! This really helps for an artist who needs poses that Manikins simply aren't capable of doing due to certain joints not being able to completely fold. I was uncertain about what softness to get, but I definitely recommend the Medium one if you're new to Monster Clay like me. It might feel a bit hard when trying to get the clay out from the container, but when you do get it out and start shaping it with your hands, the clay softens up immediately. No need for a microwave in my opinion. I was using a small coffee spoon to scoop it out and with my hands and tweezers, I was addicted! If the clay was any softer, I feel like the sculpture wouldn't hold so I am very pleased with the Medium Softness one that I got.

Great customer service
Had a shipping issue, the seller was very patient and courteous. 5 star customer service. Product is great, too "MEDIUM" may be a touch misleading- I heated this up in a crock pot to make it liquid, then let it set a bit and it was PERFECT, but in the cold it turns into a brick. Perfect for fine detail capture and multiple textures to work through. Not too-too sticky even after liquidating.

Well worth the price!!
incredible stuff. I use med. Grade for bases for casting resin blank masks. Depending on how much you heat it up, the more pliable it becomes. I'll throw the whole tub in the microwave for 4 or 5 mins, and it softens right up like taffy, oil based clay, so it doesn't stick to your hands or dry them out, and doesn't leave your hands feeling overworked. Lighter fluid is a great smoother for this as well, to eliminate unwanted fingerprints, scratches, or bubbles that happen during sculpting - weather you're a pro or just starting out, i HIGHLY recommend this product, VERY user friendly, forgiving, and reusable, over and over again!

Very useable - clean, odorless and malleable. Nothing to clean up.
This clay is nice to work with although it took a moment to get the right consistency as I used the hand-warming method on a larger piece. I was concerned about over-heating the clay if I used the microwave so waiting a few moments was fine for the piece I'd separated from the main block (lump?). They clay "works" well until it gets cool and needs to be rewarmed a bit which isn't a problem once the lump has been separated from the initial block. Sculpting tools are excellent to use and the waxy/taffy-like consistency doesn't stick to tools except for a very slight film that wipes off easily with a paper-towel. The product has no odor which makes it pleasant to use and leaves hands reasonably clean after handling; requiring only a quick bit of a wash up with soap and water. Much better than plasticine type clays. Update on Review: 5 February 2015 Having noticed that my review of this product received a 'not helpful' despite having described this product in detail, I decided I would add a few more details to the text of this review. Monster Clay is an interesting product limited only to the imagination in what you can do with it given its nature of just sitting there until being utilized by the user. Monster Clay is supposed to be non-toxic but I imagine if a person ingested enough of it the results could be fatal. So keep this in mind if you decide it looks like it may be edible. (It really isn't.) Monster Clay is, despite the name, free of monsters, not produced by monsters or even manufactured BY monsters. I saw no monsters in the packaging when I first opened the box. It is probably safe to use in a darkened room while watching Godzilla movies or other such fictional tales of horror. Although I probably wouldn't watch reruns of Gilligan's Island or The Andy Griffith Show but I wouldn't do that anyway as it would distract me from my modeling fun. Monster Clay can be used to model monsters if that is what you want to do with it or it can be used to model things like geometric shapes and them assembled into models of various compounds or even statues of animals or historical persons. What else can be said that would help the picky reviewer to see what an outstanding product this is totally escapes me. Buy this product as keep buying it till the entire world is full of Monster Clay and nothing else - not even picky reviewers.

Good clay for my project
I used this to make a silicone master mold and the silicone cane right out of it after 3 hours. Itโs great quality clay and definately wont dry out. The lid doesnโt attach well and it arrived that way but it still doesnโt dry at all.

El embalaje pudo haber Sido mejor ๐

One of the best clays to work with
One of the best clays to work with. 100% reusable if you wish to melt down a previous model and use on another model.. etc . Can be a bit of pain to heat up the clay but the best solutions I have used at either a warming tray (food one) or use a cardboard box , cover the inside with tinfoil and use a 60-75 watt lamp over the top of the box with the clay at the bottom of the box. These methods I find are a bit safer then a low heat microwave and will make the clay useable for a longer period of time.

Good stuff
Good clay. I like super sculpey also but this stuff worth price. It dries fast so you have to keep warming in the oven to get more soft use.
