Really enjoying this notebook. It’s durable and paper is thick. If you’re heavy handed it does leave indentions on the papers beneath it. Smooth and soft paper finish.. I tore a page to “experiment” and it tears like vinyl / decal material. They are just too expensive and it makes me not want to “use” it because I want to save the paper.

I really like the feel of the paper in this notebook. I usually use Rite in the rain for all of my fieldwork needs but am on the lookout for new brands to see if I can find a more economical option or one that holds up a little better against my needs to erase. I have been very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this paper so far! The consistency is velvety smooth, offering a very comfortable writing surface and the paper is STRONG. Even when thoroughly wetted, it has not worn through when erasing or shown significant wear. In fact, it is so strong that it can be hard to tear out pages if you need to remove them. Just a little smaller than a standard notebook size, this has been a great and slightly less expensive alternative for me.

I've used this for keeping notes outside in the rain at sporting events. Works great, stands up to moderate amounts of rain that would pulp ordinary paper.

I did the smear test using a ball point pen and fountain pen. I usually write with a fountain pen. The ball point performed much better on the smear test. You definitely have to wait for the ink to dry using a fountain pen. Ball points only need around 10 to 20 seconds dry down time but there is a very minimum smear immediately. So I won't be able to use my fountain pens with this notebook which is quite disappointing. The pages are so smooth and soft. And they don't tear. However, it leaves ugly dents if your bend the page in any way. And tug a bit hard to tear out the page from the notebook. None of this is bothersome to me.

I love this paper but it's pricey. So I waited for Prime Day. But it's really nice with a UNIBALL JETSTREAM ink pen. The best writing experience ever. The JETSTREAM 1mm by UNIBALL works beautifully on ALL Stone Type Paper.

Works great even when writing in a downpour.

While I like the idea of woodless paper. This notebook is heavier than a regular paper notebook. It’s even cooler…like stone. And, it smears the ink. Some ink actually bleeds through to the other side somehow. I don’t want to buy any more of it. I’ll look for some bamboo paper.
