There is a button that cycles through 3 levels of brightness and then to Off. The backlighting pattern also can be controlled via downloaded software. **Q: Does the K63 come with any extra key caps?** A: NOPE and when you lose one you're kinda screwed. Gotta replace important keys with less important keys **Q: Can you change the switches to a diffrent switch like a blue switch?** A: Probably. I had a K65 and one of its switches died. I had to disassemble the keyboard and solder on a replacement switch; it worked well after that.
