I have two hoses and not knowing which swivels work best, I bought 4 swivels (2 stainless steel swivels and 2 brass swivels) from 4 different sellers, attaching one swivel at each end of each hose. The stainless steel ones looked identical, so I marked them with a permanent marker to distinguish which brand each was. The brass ones had distinctive designs, so I did not need to mark them. I initially thought the swivels would perform equally well since they were only slightly different in price from each other. Boy was I wrong.I initially hooked up the hoses (with swivels installed) to my brand new Ryobi 1600 PSI electric pressure washer. Both of the stainless steel swivels perform flawlessly and moved freely whether there was no pressure, nominal pressure (i.e., in standby mode with washer on but motor off; around 250 PSI), or full operating pressure. The brass ones struggled to move when under standby pressure of 250 PSI.If I had purchased only the brass swivels, I would have assumed that the increase in resistance is normal and would be expected of all the swivels. Wrong!!! I am so glad I purchased the stainless steel ones. I even hooked up the swivels to my older 2200 PSI washer and again, the stainless steel ones moved freely, while the brass ones were resistant to movement when under nominal pressure.I connected a stainless steel swivel and a brass swivel in series and took a video to show how one moves while the other one does not.Another lesson learned is that the swivels help make it easier to uncoil the hose, but is only effective if there is no pressure in the hose. The hoses are too stiff under nominal pressure to uncoil, even the one I purchased that is touted as "ultra flexible." It is best to uncoil the hose while the pressure washer is completely off and absent of pressure in the hose line.In summary, this stainless steel swivel performs flawlessly, as it should. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars No more hose twisting up! *by F***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2024* This is fantastic- makes my 50 foot hose a lot easier to handle when pressure washing the cars!
