A hefty set of gloves that feels like it will last!
These gloves are awesome! They're lightweight, well constructed and, while I initially thought they were a bit pricey, having them in my hands now tells me this was a good value. Really happy with this set and it just officially replaced my beloved 12-year fire gloves for camping! The gloves came folded in a plastic bag and the smell of leather took over the moment I opened it. If you're sensitive to strong scents, open these outside and air them out a bit. It's a strong leather aroma. Like, just-walked-into-a-leather-store strong. Do with that what you will. The fingers have a reinforcing layer on the palm side of the gloves. The palm has the same reinforcing layer, although it goes all the way around the glove and that layer is also double-stitched for good measure. The thumb is reinforced on both sides. The stitching is quite nice – nice enough that they could use a bold, contrasting thread color, turning the stitching into an actual part of the design. Up close, it looks fantastic! There's even a handy loop if you like to hang your gloves. My last pair of fire gloves came in at 14" and I didn't think these, at 16", would be much of a difference. I was wrong. These gloves go more than halfway up my forearms and I'm eager to get them in front of an actual campfire cookout. Now, about the fit. I do have large hands. They're not huge, just large. So, the palm section was a good fit but the fingers were actually pretty snug. Snug enough that it was a bit of a relief to take the gloves off after a few minutes. That said, with some actual real-world use, I think they will loosen up a bit and mold perfectly around my fingers so I'm sticking with them. My very non-scientific test involved heating up a cast iron skillet on the stove for about 10 minutes and then picking it up (by the handle) to see just how long I could hold it for. The heat resistance was way better than my last gloves. I could have held that skillet until the cows came home. I think these gloves probably have a higher heat rating than my last pair. In a couple of my pics, I've flipped a glove inside out to show the sleeve and innards. I can really appreciate that they didn't go with lesser quality here just because it wouldn't necessarily be noticed by an average end-user. The inside appears solidly built. The forearm sleeve feels (and looks!) a lot like an insulated pant-leg – and it's more easily pliable than the glove body so it doesn't necessarily feel like you're wearing some kind of medieval warrior gauntlets. Anyway, if you haven't guessed by now, I'll just spell it out. These gloves are a great deal and a quality product. I would definitely recommend this set.

I kept melting other gloves. I should have bought these a long time ago!
The RAPICCA Fireplace Gloves are an absolute game-changer. After melting several other pairs of gloves, I finally decided to give these a try, and I couldn't be happier. The heat resistance on these gloves is remarkable—they handle up to 932°F effortlessly, protecting my hands from burns while I manage hot logs and embers. What sets these gloves apart is not only their functionality but also their comfort. The soft inner lining makes them incredibly comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. The long cuffs offer additional protection for my forearms, which is a huge plus. Despite their robust construction, they still allow for excellent dexterity, making it easy to handle tools and tend to the fire. In short, the RAPICCA Fireplace Gloves are a must-have for anyone dealing with high-heat situations. They are reliable, high-quality, and offer the protection I've been seeking for so long. Highly recommended!

Awesome fireplace gloves!
Awesome gloves!! I can reach right into the fire and grab a red hot log and turn it over! The gloves are long so your arms are protected. Your hands will eventually get hot if you hold the burning log for a long time but I have no need to do that. I gave these as a christmas present and we have been using them ever since. Thinking of buying another pair just in case these ever get worn out. Afraid they may not make them anymore!!

Nice, well made glove, suitable for putting wood on the fire. Stellar customer service! Highly recommend.
Update: This company reached out to me and brought to light that there is another model of this glove that has reinforced areas over the fingers and hand, which is better suited for situations that I was in. They are certainly a stellar company in my book. I am updating my original review from 3 stars to 5 because these gloves (gray) performed perfectly as they were designed for. A quick in and out when placing the wood in the wood burning stove and you do not feel the heat. Had I did a little more research, I would have found and ordered the correct glove for my needs initially. I will submit a new review once I obtain and try the correct glove for my needs. I bought these to replace a pair I have had for 4 years. I use them to put wood into and remove ash from our wood burning stove. I had thought my old pair had worn out (a different brand) When removing ash I found that my right hand fingers would start to feel the heat and I could only work in the stove in short increments. These gloves are nice looking and appear to be well made, but I find that my fingers still burn while using the new gloves. I had decided on these because they specifically mention a "good to" temperature. Maybe the stove is hotter. I do like the gloves, but they did not perform as well as I expected. Great for setting in the wood, but only o.k. for removing ash while stove still has some embers. So I recommend them, but with a caution as to what your expectation may be.

Perfect
Used these while camping and was able to adjust the fire with my own hands as well as get my kettle from direct 🔥 fire. Excellent product. They are heavy duty. Just the right size.

Perfect wood stove glove replacement!
We have a wood stove as main winter heat source. It was time to replace the heat resistant gloves we use to add wood and stoke the fire. The gloves are longer up our arms than previous gloves which is nice since we are older and it takes longer to adjust the logs on a fire. Also, they are a reasonable price and seem very durable. Only one suggestion would be a little thicker and bigger loops at top of gloves to hang them near our wood stove accessory tools. Still a five star!

Amazing for welding, brick oven cooking, and literally holding burning logs
I’ve been using these gloves for years while making pizza in my wood fired brick oven, and they’ve always held up well. The heat protection is excellent. You can pick up burning logs for a few seconds without feeling a thing, which makes managing the fire a lot easier. The value for the price is hard to beat. I recently started using them for welding and they work just as well in that setting. Good protection, comfortable, and reliable. My original pair finally started falling apart after about five years of steady use, so I bought a new set without hesitation. I recommend these to anyone who works with high heat or open flame.

Comfy and well insulated
Use these with my heat treating kiln. Heated my kiln to 1200c and used these while working near it. Insulation is very good, well stitched but still flexible and comfy to wear. I have big hands with long fingers, but these still fit well

Ottimi guanti ignifughi!
Due guanti belli pesanti, lunghi a sufficienza da mettere le mani e le braccia dentro ad un forno pizza in pietra e spostare tizzoni ardenti senza sentire calore. Ottimo prodotto.
