I have an African Grey- Kiki- for 13 years. His main diet is Harrisons. I add extra fruits and vegetables- organic, of course. I also put organic red palm oil on the Harrison's pellets to keep his feathers lovely and his dander down. I have a blue and gold macaw and it’s much cheaper but didn’t know if it will get stale.** A: Harrison’s food should be used up within 6 weeks of opening. One macaw would not eat 25lbs in this timeframe - and you would be feeding stale food at some point.
