Were they made in usa?

Made in China. The 50 cal box I received today was wrapped in bubble wrap and there was a paper label on the bubble wrap that said “Made in China”. Box itself is brand new and looks like it should do the job and last for many years.

Would this box work for a time capsule - to be buried in the back yard?

the can is painted and has a gasket in the lid however it is still a steel box so depending on how long you plan to leave it buried it will eventually rust.

Does the 50 cal box have an air tight seal?

It's a 30 cal. box but picture is of 50 cal. box so it's the narrow box you get. Seal is tight though

How much 0.308 will it hold?

depending on how you stack it it will hold upto 800 rounds in the 50cal and about 400 in the 30cal
