what is the finish on the grill plates?

Teflon.....I really like this appliance. I put the plates in the dishwasher.

Where can I find a replacement drip tray?

Need replacement drip trap, mine cracked with a greasy mess.

Can the lid be adjusted?

Not sure what you mean by "adjusted". If you're talking about an ability to adjust it for the thickness of food you're cooking, no, there isn't. If your food is soft or fragile, expect to wind up with a pancake. If your food is tougher, like a steak, then you shouldn't have a problem. The lid has three "stopping points": closed, open, and "open flat", where you can use the lid as another half of a griddle. Also be aware that there is only one style of plate for the lid: the flat "griddle" plate. It does not have a corresponding "grill" plate. (The plate is, however, still removable for cleaning.)
