good speed improvement over usb 3.0 im waiting for faster cards, to fully test this drive, but already its shown better speeds, than my old usb 3.0 card reader

I havent used it much and cant determine the speed accuracy, there will be plenty who can. It seems to do the job OK . Im not a lexar fan these days, since the company was sold to the Chinese ive found the quality control on their memory cards to be erratic. Pro Grade are the original lexar employees, the management self financed after the company was sold and formed the new company , and I have to say the quality is 5 *****, as lexar used to be. Hopefully lexar will tighten up on Quality control and get back to the level they used to be. Now this only applied to memory cards, I cant comment about the card readers. I actually have 2 lexar readers and no complaints YET !

Transfer speeds not as fast as I expected but works adequately and can also be used to transfer files from SD cards to a mobile devices faster than via WiFi or Bluetooth.

Faster on every single card I have. Than any other reader. Its faster writing and reading. On some cards by a lot. On others by maybe 15% compared to the USH II dell reader on my laptop and other generic readers. It reaches the claimed card max speeds or better every time. Connected to a fast 10gbps port.

These are very good and cut copying time substantially. Well worth buying.

I have been purchasing Lexar products for some time due to their reputation for speed and performance. However, I am disappointed with this micro SD and SD card reader, as its read and write speeds are not significantly better than my five-year-old generic micro SD card reader. The photos above were taken with a Lexar Micro SD Card purchased from the same store. I am concerned that the reader, the micro SD card, or both might be counterfeit. I tested them on both my Mac and PC. Additionally, the reader is made from very lightweight, plasticky material.

I absolutely love this little card reader. I use both SD and microSD cards frequently, and having a dedicated, dual-slot reader that handles UHS-II speeds without needing an extra adapter is a massive timesaver. The USB-C connection is rock solid, and moving large files (like big batches of high-res photos) to my computer is incredibly fast. I deal with large photos regularly. My photos are generally about 24-30 MB in size and when I come back from a photo shoot or two, I may have 50GB (or more) to transfer. I already had a memory card that could be read fast, but I could never find a compatible reader until I bought the Lexar Professional USB 3.2 Type-C Dual-Slot Reader. The transfers are now at the limit of the memory card (which is slower than the max read speed from the dongle). I love this product and if anything happened to it, I would buy it again!
