Good for saddle hunting
Works great as your attachment to your saddle bridge. Makes turning side to side much easier. I was able to fit the locking mechanism through a Kong Duck so it’ll work with that or a prusik. It does not look like it’ll work with a ropeman ascender.

Check for compatibility
I ordered this product to use as a redirect for my rope when ascending. The locking mechanism would not pass through the hole in my ascending device. Nothing against the product but you may need a product with a more streamline gate if it is to be used with an ascender.

Ups and downs
I really like the ability to add a change of direction for ascending rope. The added friction for a 8 decent device makes it smooth. The gate opens counterintuitive to the roller.
