After you pick it up and pour then put it back on the base does it shut off or hold your temperature until your done making coffee?

It will keep keep the tea or coffee warm until you turn it off. I just made tea. once it the water boiled, it didn’t stop or keep working. It kept water warm. And there was no water left in the kettle and it shut itself off. There is no water sign appeared.

Just received. It doesn’t have a safety shut-off if pot is empty? So is it dangerous if someone forgets and puts empty pot back on burner?

It does have auto-shut and the kettle will shut itself if you forget
