Easy tie dye with vibrant colors.
Bought these for a party. Mixed the large batches the night before and then divided them into individual bottles for each kid. They had a blast doing their own dying. There was no need for multiple steps like soda ash. The colors are vibrant and last for many washes without bleeding. All the kids families sent me pictures of how they came out and they look fabulous. The middle photo is a year later after wearing and washing countless times

Better than the small bottles
Love this pack! I have always used the mini bottles that come with more color options, but dont like refilling them. These larger bottles made it so much easier to tie dye with my 4 year old!!

And improved tie-dye experience, but still a little messy
I used this kit to tie-dye shirts for my prek class field day. The shirts came out amazing! I followed the directions to make the spiral and each shirt came out bright with a clear spiral pattern! The kids were thrilled! Pros: -easy to use squirt bottles -no pre-soaking required -color came out bright and lasts -we received many compliments on our shirts! Cons: -made fewer t-shirts than expected -messy and a little difficult to use, but hey, it's tie-dye My observations and tops: -This kit claims to make up to 72 projects, but it made 18 youth small t-shirts, 3 adult small t-shirts, and 1 adult xl t-shirt, with a enough dye for maybe 2-3 more shirts. So I'd buy 1 kit per class of 18-20 students. -it's still messy. I used a turkey roasting tin and my own more fitted latex-free gloves. I also covered the table with a plastic cover and wore an apron. -I ended up having to apply the dye as it quickly became too messy for the kids to be touching the dyes. And the you really have to pry into the creases of the shirts to saturate the fabric with enough dye. -if you get the fabric slightly damp, the dye applies mush easier. Too wet and the dye runs out. Dry fabric repels the dye and it rolls off.

Excellent value and bright colors!
I bought two sets for a class party with 20 kids and we didn't even use it all. It was so fun and adding the water to mix was super easy with minimal mess. The shirts turned out bright and my daughter's hasn't faded at all after multiple washes. The bottles are big and the quality was amazing!

I mostly liked this stuff - but it's not as quick as I thought!
I read reviews of scout meetings and summer camps and thought this would be a good project for our art class. I wasn't until I pulled apart everything and read the instructions that I discovered the dye is supposed to sit for 6-8 hours! So I ended up having to take them all home and then didn't have time to rinse them for a couple days. Whether because of that or just the quality of the dye, the shirts turned out great at least! Very vibrant colors and the kids were thrilled when I brought them back. I do wish the steps were a bit clearer up front though.

better color than the smaller bottles
I was very happy with my purchase of the Tulip one -step extra large block party 16oz bottles. I use the Tulip One-step tie dye kits frequently, but these are the only ones I can find that have the big bottles. I like these much better than the smaller bottles. The color seems to work better than the smaller bottles. I highly recommend.

Great for Block parties or classroom project
We have used this kit for the last several years for an annual hippy-themed block party, and it never fails to impress. It comes with instructions on a poster (which we glue to foam core board) , six large bottles and all you need for tie-dye. There are plenty of rubberbands and plastic gloves, though if you are doing this with kids you might want to purchase small latex gloves, as these are the flimsy ones that are difficult to manage easily and theyre huge. I have used the leftover product months later for tie-dye with no issues, so no need to toss it when done. The bottles come with lids and it stores easily. I would recommend using potash in a 5-gallon bucket to prep the fabric you will be dyeing because it holds the color better.

It seems like a lot
I purchased this tie dye kit to use in my classroom with 17 first graders for an end of year activity. Each child, as well as 5 additional children and 2 adults, tie dyed a 100% cotton standard pillowcase. It seems like a lot, right? Think again. We didn't even use 1/4 of any of the bottles-- even being *extra* generous with the last few. So, keep in mind that you can be VERY generous with the amount you apply and complete a LOT of projects. Before dying I washed all of the pillowcases to strip them of any junk from manufacturing, then soaked them thoroughly in water. We tied them up still wet using rubber bands, then went to town dying them. Afterwards, each one went into a separate ziplock and sat for about 48 hours before i took them home, rinsed them thoroughly in the bathtub, and then washed + dried them. We signed them in sharpie, I heat-set them once more in the dryer, and voila. Each child had their end of year gift. The colors after washing and drying are still very vivid and beautiful. The item I made with my kiddos is definitely a keepsake and will be put away so that it doesn't fade out or lose its sharpie signatures. I absolutely would expect this to fade out through repeated washings just like any other home tie dye job. This is not as permanent as one would think. The packaging is a bit misleading to me. The products pictured on the packaging are not realistically achievable with this kit. What is shown is basically what your project will look like after being rinsed out, but before being washed +dried. I've attached pictures of my before and after to show.

Great Value
Great value! We had loads of fun making T-shirts and made some scrunchies and pillowcases to use up some of the spare dye. We let the items cure in sealed bags for longer than the kit suggested as the minimum time and we double washed our items. They turned out great!

Perfect for parties
Bought for my daughter's birthday party. Each child tie-dyed their own towel to take home with them. The kids loved it!! Kit was simple to use and offered everything we needed to complete the project.

Awesome!
Bought this for my daughter's Tie Dye birthday. It was a success. The colours are bright and vivid. My only complaint is that they do not supply sufficient gloves. The dye colours goes right through them and stains your hands. I would suggest doubling up on latex gloves or use dish washing gloves, they are much thicker. I have not tried that, but thought would try next time.

You WILL have fun!
I bought these to use with students in my after school program, they range in age from 5 to 12. I had also bought a kit with smaller bottles so I used the smaller bottles as the main tool for the kids to use, with the large bottles refilling the smalls as required. I did this because I had visions of the younger kids squeezing the heck out of the large bottles, therefore wasting it. We managed to dye around 45 tshirts in varying sizes from a child's size 6 to adult small, plus a couple hand towels, and still had I'm guessing a 1/2 cup of dye in each of the 5 bottles that were left.
