I should have written sooner as I have recommended it to different people. My eyesight is not the greatest, but I can read this with my reading glasses. My hands are small & arthritic, but this is easy for me to hold & the cover feels nice. I don't think it is right for a course book, but I have enjoyed it for private meditation, due to the earlier things. I mentioned. Also Jesus, words are in red which I like, as I can pick it up, & open up to Our Lord's Words, & just contemplate where I opened it at. And of ccourse, I can just read a chapter. The translation is very nice. When I was looking to replace the previous NT I wore down to bits I gave this one a chance. I am so glad I did!I am happy to report the cover looks far better in person. I had to check the Amazon listing because it feels like actual leather. It is soft and feels great to hold. Also, the colors are far less saturated than the Amazon listing appears. I didn’t think it would be pretty but it is actually quite lovely.My only issue is the illustrations are tacky; they are from the 1970’s and for example Simeon has modern hair for that era. Mary for some reason looks like she is 40 years old with gray hair. I might actually very carefully cut these pages out with an Exacto knife, which would be fine since those pages aren’t numbered, so I’m glad they did that at least.This translation is already my favorite so I won’t get into that. All I’ll say is if you compare it side-by-side with, say, the RSVC2E or the ESV you are going to find lots of similarities between them.
