I started by powering the string from 4 x 3.7V Lithium Ion batteries in series. The LEDs were way too bright for the scene. I ended up using only 2 x batteries with 2 x dummy cells. Cyan is a rich blue-green color, as shown in the first photo -- the laser dot to the right of the strip (488nm). The ice blue LEDs are nowhere close in color to what I was looking for - they are closer to white than they are blue.
