Back when I used it and found out it was too small I boiled it for a bit and was able to stretch it a fair amount. Will it slip over 2.37 actual diameter?** A: Yes **Q: Need to connect 2" copper to 1 1/2" sch 80 pvc. will this work?** A: This was made to connect 1 1/2" pipe size (approx 2" OD as yours) to 2" pipe (approx 2 3/8" OD). Your 2" copper pipe/tube is approx 2 1/8" OD. So, no, it will not work as intended in your application.
