They are incredibly comfortable and soft enough even in hard water . The print has held up well with little fading and I have used these since ordering numerous patterns in the fall. The green plaid and the red Buffalo plaid was more soft and more flannel like than a few of the others so do read the other reviews. The trees of green are the next softest. The red prints I ordered are more of a satin finish than a true flannel. They do run large which I like .I am five two at best in height and I have taken up the pant legs and the cuffs which were quite quick and easy to do . I also took in the pant at the back by about an inch or more from the crotch to the waist for a perfect fit as I am short and a bit short waisted . Amazon said to order extra extra large . I did not thankfully order that size . I found a large to be perfectly roomy and as stated I took all the pajamas in at the seat area for a custom fit since I have gained weight with an injury . I would prefer to order a large roomy pair of pj’s verses anything that cannot be taken in and is to tight . I would suggest ordering your regular size or one size larger at the most if Amazon is still suggesting elephant sizes . That said I am quite happy with these sets . I wear them every night and the prints and colors are more vibrant in person than on the computer . One great purchase. I also love the tops as they are long with five buttons down the front . It gives a a more tailored look and keeps you from bare skin on a cold night . No adjusting needed when I sleep in these . They are cozy and comfortable . It’s not easy to get cotton that does not wrinkle into a permanent disaster ball at this price point. I wash in regular agitator old washing machine and I dry them to death in the old dryer and they have not shrunk nor warped out. The print I assumed would be quite faded by now as I am wearing these every night and wash one a week. I think I now have seven pair and may buy some more ! So far so good . I love the pants pockets as well. The placement and size of them are wonderful and the stitching on all the pairs are accurate so no large bulging pouches on either side . Just some nice well sized pockets. All buttons are still in place and I love the notched color on the tops. Buying larger is better if you take them up since you get a bit more firmness at the hems of pants and tops . That gives it a neater look and stability . I generally wake up looking as crisp and tailored as I did when I first put them on . Kudos to whoever designed these and the stitchers. Soft yet thick and sturdy with out any pilling and actually 100% cotton which seems rare these days. The material is excellent. The bottoms fit excellent and are roomy with a good cut. The top is another story. If I cut the sleeves off I would be able to button them. The sleeves are tiny. I can get my arm in but just barely. As a big boned girl, my arms and wrists are the smallest and pretty evenly proportioned so I don't feel like anyone could realistically wear this top and bottom together. The sleeves from wrists to armpit are just cut way too small in relation to the other proportions. I so wanted to love this and would if not for the sleeves.
