We are getting sidewalk signs and I would love to know how this is attached. Thank you, Amber** A: It has 8 holes on the back of the box for various mounting options. So, you can be either attach it to a sign post (using nails or screws), or hang it on a fence/gate using twine or wire. If you use stiff wire, you could run the wire through the mounting holes and hook the wire over the top of your sidewalk sign. **Q: does a clipboard fit?** A: An 8x11 piece of paper fits, but I don't know that the lid would shut with a clipboard in it. **Q: does this have any protection from fading?** A: If the first visible sheet isn't changed, I found that it does start to fade after a few months. Nevertheless, it has some UV protection built in. **Q: Can this box be attached to an outside window?** A: It attaches to a metal yard sign frame with two zip-style ties. You'd have to craft up something g with some suction cups to attach it to a window, but it might be possible if you get suction cups that have a hook on it. We use them for our permits on a company sign make it legal to advertise and have a location for the permit ### ⭐⭐⭐ so while I love the zip tie feature *by B***H on March 27, 2018* Ordered 6 of these. 2 of the 6 came with a corner of the red lid cracked/broken. I'm using them under a sheltered area so it should be okay, but if I was putting them out in the open I would definitely return them as they'd no longer protect the documents inside.
