Good cable. 26awg is a good thickness, 24awg is better but harder to find in Cat 8 and at a lower price. I wouldn’t recommend going any lower than 26awg or higher as according to the way the AWG standard works which the higher, the thinner the copper stranding. This is good cable from Akake, good PVC outer jacket and inner cables, twisted and well shielded. So build quality is good overall. I wouldn’t recommend also say that this cable would be worth upgrading the terminals if the plastic clips break off which they often do and is a consistent weakness in most cables around this price. Sound quality is what I was looking for and this one from Akake delivers! A nice clean sound, no veiling! A previous cable around the same price did not allow nice clean and clear vocals through and the low frequencies were a little muddy and disorganised. This allows a good clean punchy bass and clean, unveiled vocals. It’s quite a light cable and flexible, not too stiff. The RJ45 heads are fairly basic but good none the less but as mentioned earlier the cable itself is worth re terminating with something a bit more robust if needs be. Good value all round.

Came same day, very chunky quality feeling cable - even had some plastic connection protectors that I've never seen before, I guess to stop the clips from being broken.. was a nice touch. Went straight in to the Virgin Media Superhub 5s 2.5GbE port that my pc was being plugged in to, then to my 2.5GbE and SFP hub and bam my PC was getting 1150 down and 103 up. Switch says full 2.5 connection so it's doing what it should. I've had my Homebrew on for the past 24hrs plus pinging Google and not a single drop or missed packet. Highly recommend, considering it was the cheapest cable I could find, I'm impressed.
