So far so good
Bought for my 3 year old to get to grips with when to get out of bed in the morning. Easy to set up once you've got to grips with it and handy to have child lock with him getting a bit trigger happy sometimes. Nice quality as with all tommee tippee range

Worked a charm
Bought to stop my son waking us up. Bit fiddly to set up as other commented but I got Gemini to give me step by step you can use other agents I assume and it works a charm now. My son sends the owl to sleep each night, I lock it and he doesn't get up until the owl is awake. Success.

Helpful but takes time to get used to
The Groclock is a clever idea for helping kids understand when it’s time to sleep and when it’s okay to get up. The sun and star visuals are easy for little ones to follow, and it definitely helps with setting a routine. That said, it does take some patience – younger children may need a bit of encouragement before they really understand it. The buttons are also quite small, and the settings aren’t the most intuitive, so adults might need to refer to the instructions a few times at first. Overall, it’s a handy tool for improving sleep routines. Not a magic fix overnight, but with consistency it can make mornings calmer.

Works well
Amazing product, our son won’t leave his room now until it ‘wakes up’. A little tricky to set up, and the time resets if plugged out so it has to be left plugged in all the time unless you want to reset every night, but does what it says on the tin

Badly designed and bad quality
*UPDATE: After 1 month of use, the product felt from the nightstand and the LCD display broke as a result, from the shock, not an impact on the screen itself since the front screen is undamaged. The unit cannot be used anymore. The unit's feet are slippery, made from hard plastic without anti skid rubber pads. This makes it very easy for it to slide and fall. A well-designed product for a toddler should resist an incidental fall from a night stand, especially considering their energy levels. I have asked for warranty cover by the manufacturer. They are asking to send back the product by post with a description of the problem before making a decision. I don't which working parent has the time to do this for a product that anyway is not very desirable in the first place as we found out. Other (initial comments): First of all, the interface is not intuitive. You will have to read the book and get back to it to memorize. Secondly, it's easy to interrupt the night mode. Our toddler went on and managed to cancel the night mode in a few seconds. So this should be away from reach. Thirdly, and similarly, because there is no battery, if the child removes the plug at the back, the unit will turn off (although keeping the time and settings). Fourthly, when it comes to the build, there are no anti-skid feet, the clock easily slides and falls. Finally, the minimum light output remains a tad too high to my taste, although our child doesn't seem to bother. Our 2yo toddler seems to grasp the concept and we have started to train him only waking up or calling for us when the little owl wakes up and the clock turns yellow from blue. I will update this after a few months of use.

Does what it says it will but dated
This clock has been the standard for a number of years and it does what it does well but now feels dated. Adjusting the time etc is clumsy, not obvious and a little bit 'faff-y' to use. Plastic does yellow in sunlight. Maybe time for a modern upgrade?

One week in - life changing
Our 5 year old has always been an early riser but since he started school his early wakes have been a real problem as he’s shattered by the end of the day. And so are we! We bought the clock out of desperation to give anything a try and the results have genuinely been instant. He loves the owl and hasn’t called for us before 6.30 since we got it. He has told me that he’s woken up in the night and seen the owl is asleep so he’s gone back to sleep. We’ll see how long it lasts but for now I wish we’d bought it sooner! I think it depends on your child’s personality as to how much success you’ll have with it. For us, our son loves rules and is a rule follower so the concept of this is perfect for him.

The worst birthday present ever!
As the title suggests this “stylish” grey clock is the best and worst thing you will ever choose to purchase. It goes with any colour scheme and is certain to be a talking point. As other users have said when this works it is beautiful, imagine lazy Sunday mornings in bed beautiful. Where children aren’t screaming “Pappaaaa” at 5:42am beautiful. We explained that when the little owl goes to bed and turns blue it’s time for you to go to bed too! And, my little angel, when it turns orange that’s when you can wake up and shout “paaapaaaaaa” to your hearts content! If he’s blue though it’s not time to wake up yet! This delightful little clock was a birthday gift to 3 year old (to ourselves really). And 9/10 it has worked a dream. However…(cue tense music) There have been nights where 3 year old has thrown themselves on the floor screaming that they hate the colour blue (bedtime colour) they hate owls and they hate the fact they had this clock for their birthday. Overall all though this clock has been an actual gift from the gods, purchase it now, send your little darlings off to bed, do NOT engage until you know the wonderful little owl is orange and enjoy the beautiful extra time in bed you deserve! In all seriousness though. The moments of hatred towards the owl are worth it though, it has made a huge difference to both our bedtime and morning routine. We found it pretty easy to set up, 3 year old engages with it well, and it’s lovely to see their little smiling face in a morning when the orange owl says it’s time to wake up. Good luck parents, we’ve got this!

Definitive Kaufempfehlung!

Could be simpler to use
Nice design, but could have been simpler to configure. Also would have been better if the function buttons were at back of the device rather than front so as not to tempt kids from fiddling.
