While it can take more than one try to boot up, this card reader's three slots all work, though not at the same time. So one probably cannot transfer files from a thumb drive to an SD card without copying them first to your device. I tested the usb port for audio and there was no problem communicating with a Zoom u22 interface. A bonus is that the interface is able to sound audio files directly from an SD card and record onto the card as well. If it does not remain functional in these respects (with more capabilities than the Apple "camera connection kit" at one third the cost) I will endeavor to update this review!

There’s no instructions for this thing. I looked up a video and it was just as useless. I feel like an idiot right now. Nothing is showing up on my phone. I can’t tell if it’s even connected right. I don’t want to jam things into slots! There’s no name on this product so you can’t even see what it’s supposed to be listed under. It probably does work but I’ll probably never know. Thanks for stealing my money for this piece of plastic

Edited review: Edited review. I had previous been rather harsh on this adapter. When it arrived there was some disappointment with the product. That turned out to be a setting on my device and a manufacturing defect. The Device is actually working wonderfully. It has the lightning connector so I can use it with my iPad or iPhone. And when your phone has 118gb of files and photos you need to be able to offload files quickly without waiting for clear signal or fast speeds. The read and write speeds is impressive. It writes 100 photos in less than 3 minutes. Videos are a little slower but that’s the nature of the beast. It has the typical iPhone quality. It will eventually break at the connector. But until then it’s fully functional. The flexible pig tail allows you to hold the device next to the back of your phone while your working or you can just throw caution to the wind and allow it to dangle. It has 4 slots. Each with a specific function. The usb slot is where I ran into trouble. It’s a little loose and you have to connect while in your phones files screen or else you can miss when it’s connected. The memory card slot I didn’t have the opportunity to use prior to this review. However the tf card slot was perfect. It also has the pass through charging port so your phone can charge while you work. The only drawback I encountered that is on Apple not this device, is when you select your files to move, you have to wait for your phone to download the files you have selected from the cloud. Then Apple makes you wait while the device is saving your files to your selected memory media. If you change screens or answer an email or play a game your file transfer will stop. And you have to start the sequence over. But again that is on Apple. Not the manufacturer of this dongle. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because if my initial frustration which turned out to be in part due to the loose fit of the usb port. Once I figured that out - the dongle worked flawlessly. Additional notation the listing isn’t clear on this detail. But it’s listed as a reader, but it does bidirectional data transfer and you CAN write files from your phone to a memory card. The listing only shows that you can upload files from a memory media to your phone. And some online articles indicate you need an additional app, you do not. File transfers are handled through the iPhones share function. Original review: I purchased two of these units. Neither one worked. Total disappointment!

Easy to use! Plug this adapter into your iPhone, go to your apple photo app, select import (in the bottom right corner), select delete, optional, and your photos are editable and in your iCloud! Great way to quickly upload your photos to your iPhone and/or iCloud, view them in UHD, and edit them! I bought this to upload my photos from my older model Sony A37 DSLR Camera straight to my iPhone, which uses a SD card. Highly recommend it! I especially like how easy it is to upload and view photos in ultra high definition which makes it easy to edit and see how well your photos are, as my camera only has a 1080i LCD screen.

Nice Cd card reader has many different holes for many different size CD cards . Easy to use easy to fit. Compatibility and connectivity.

It's plug & Play but very slow even just jpegs onto an iPad pro takes a while so, if you need speed, this isn't for you.
