Can i cut tree branches?

It's for home use. Mainly breaking whole coconuts, or using it inverted to cut and clean fish. My Grandma used to cut vegetables on that blade ... It will cut tree branches too but the blade quality will deteriorate. For cutting branches you need something shorter like an axe

How to clean of the rust and in the blade and the handle and what oil to apply for long life

Never keep it wet for long . Apply any edible oil as it is not harmful if traces are left after cleaning , wrap a thick plastic paper around the blade tightly .

A very Good and Sturdy Product

This is my second Order... impressed more with the Quality of blade and handle... kodavul has a good weight to handle farm chores... its quite sharp as usual with Aminus. The gaps in the handle need to be filled with epoxy or/ and with sawdust and fevicol for better look, smooth handle... coating with gingelly oil will make the blade and handle look well and lasts long... its a definite must have for farm people.
