Bit is stuck in tip; how to eject?

When I need to replace the bit I use a pair of pliers. Grab the tip and pull it out...

The bit is very difficult to ger out, only with help of plyers. Is that done on purpose?

To remove the bit tip from the holder you will need to use a pair of pliers. This unit is designed for use in an impact driver and thus is designed to hold the bits in those applications.

How to lock the pivot position, and stop wobbling?

Slide the black collet forward to unlock and back to lock, or perhaps vise versa. There will always be some wobble since it's not a solid shaft.
