It's a nice drive. Being the "Green" version, it's a bit slower than others but not that I can tell. I bought this for media storage like movies and music and it works great. With the prices of RAM and SSDs going through the roof, this was a decent price.

I have a HP laptop I purchased from Costco in '22 and it had a HDD and never really worked right. It finally got so slow that I was ready to get another one. But when I looked at the performance the HDD was always right at 100% no matter what so I thought that despite the properites saying it working correctly, maybe it's the hard drive. I pruchased this one and a inexpensive SATA cable and used Acronis to clone the drive which took over two hours. Once that was done I swapped the old internal HD for this one and it fired up on the first boot in seconds. Now it's like a new PC shuts down and loads in seconds rather than minutes. I'm doing any gaming or anything but all I can say is this disk saved me from buying a new PC. Very happy with it and it's performance. It loads programs and apps extremely quickly.

Trusted Brand (Western Digital), Reasonable price, Next Day Delivery - All added stars to my rating. Reasonably easy install - The tough part of the install was removing the failing HDD, and getting the computer out from under my desk just to work on it, and removing all the wiring, including the power cord. After identifying the failing HDD, removing the cable connections to it, and removing it from the bay, installation of the new SDD was easy. The trickiest part was starting the screws to hold it into the Drive Bay. Connected the old cables and done! Reconnected all the wiring, slid the computer back under the desk, turned the power back on and booted the computer. Windows 11 OS detected the missing HDD and the new SDD, and automatically initialized the new one. Used the Disk Manager to assign Drive letter and name to the new drive and format (just took seconds). I am really pleased this install went so smoothly - couldn't be happier! FIVE STARS!

I used this drive to breathe life into my old laptop. It worked. My computer is now much faster. At first the SSD drive did not show up after connecting, and I had to play with some settings before making it work. Overall good product.

Refreshing all my consoles and was able to snag on sale to upgrade from the hybrid drive I installed. Easy enough to replace. My PS3 was never loud, but now it's basically silent. WD continues to deliver consistent quality. The load times on a few games got slightly better, like say with Gran Turismo 6. Keep in mind the age of the console though and what it can take advantage of.
