I have also used Modelones dip liquids before in a kit I purchased last year for my birthday. I would say I am fairly familiar with dip powder and I do enjoy using it. At first it is a learning curve and this is perfect for those who want to give it a try to see if it works for them. The only issue I would say is that you have to be careful to use thin coats instead of thicker coats. Using this a top coat was a little hard to get used to but to me it is very shiny. If you want something shinier I would use a gel top coat or buy a separate dip top coat. I didn’t use primer or an official dehydrator for this product because I wanted to make sure I was using the product in its full capacity. I did buff my nails with a 180 grit file and use acetone to get rid of dust on my nails. I did use a single layer of dip base coat and let it dry to act as a “base coat” before I used a color. It made it easier to file as well. (I got that tip from SipandDip). Oh wow, just realized I am rambling. But I do enjoy this product. It was a little difficult to get used to but I feel like I can get good manicures. So far I have gotten two manicures and it has lasted me 2 weeks. I will update when I do more. The brissles are tough and seem dried out almost. They hardly hold/absorb any of the product so it often takes many times to get enough product to use.
