Horrible scrapwood , horrible construction(the slats were fastened with tiny brads that were popped when I opened the box), slivers from the wood slats. The slats were not smooth, caught fabric and fingers on them. Stain on wood was not even and cushion had weird rubbery feeling Liner seemed to be constructed well but not large enough for the box. The shipping box is sturdier than this hamper!!!!! I am saving the shipping box, to line with a garbage bag, for christmas wrapping paper trash. Rough, uneven wood, not even run through a plainer. The top is a burlap with a clear coat varnish that makes it very stiff & hard.
