I bought this based on other reviews. I wanted a good quality stone to sharpen some tools and an axe. It's so easy to use, the tools and axe are now a lot sharper. It comes with a nice leather belt pouch to keep the stone in which looks great too. The stone is comfortable in the hand, the size of the stone fits well into my hand which makes using it easy. Very versatile and the performance is great. Great value for money.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I really prefer the puck whetstone as I like to move it in a circular motion covering all along the edge of my axe and it sharpens it up to a lovely clean cutting axe that I can split wood easily with & I can also makes feather sticks no problem at all to get my camp fire blazing. I also like the leather whetstone "puck pouch" as it's always close to hand on my belt so I can give my axe or knives a good sharpness so that I can shave the hair off my legs with axe ( I would have said arm but I don't have much hair on arms 😂) 5 star tool ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.✌️ 🪵🌿🌳🔥🪹🪺🪻🍁🍄⛰️🏔️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Excellent sharpening stone, I think mainly due to it's shape, you can hold it in your hand and move it however fast or slow as you want. I used it for an axe and it's kept it's edge well. If I was working outside I would keep it on my belt, if the edge of the blade became blunt.

Haven't tried it yet but have it on good information that it's a great tool and very useful, good weight and size

I was skeptical this would be any good. 10-15mins this morning on a fiskars axe and it restored a chipped blade to almost razor sharp. I would prefer it be a *little* bigger to fit my hands better. But its OK.

Does sharpens, rather best on more open angle chopping blades. Not bad, good design with pouch carrier. Nice.

This leather carry case works great for my Lansky puck sharpener. This product came with a complimentary sharpening stone as well, but that's best used as a paperweight. After sharpening a single tool the 180 grit side had started flaking off the entire surface leaving it INCREDIBLY rough. I didn't want to damage the tool so I started on the 320 side which thankfully stayed smooth, though it did erode at an alarming rate. By time it was done the stone was deeply grooved, and after each pass of the blade I had to wipe off a thick later of sharpening grit. I've used my lansky puck sharpener many times and it works just like new to this day. For any of your sharpening needs the lansky puck is worth the money 100%. If you need a leather case for that stone this is a suitable product, otherwise take your money elsewhere.

I bought this to clean up the cutting edge on my axes, it works fine and feels good, and is the right size for my use. I like the case that came with it to protect the stone plus it has a belt loop if that is the way you want to carry it. I don't find the stone is real aggressive in material removal so if your edge is real bad you may need something else first and then use this to maintain the edge.
