Not the clearest of instructions but good enough. Easy to use and works a treat. Nice storage pack but wish it would hold the test weight and spare batteries.

This was easy as pie to set up! The moment you take it out of the box it inspires confidence. It feels solid and well made. Set it up in no time at all. It even came in it's own metal box. Excellent value for the money. My turntable is now set up as accurately as it possibly can be. Great product!

I would recommend as a worthwhile purchase. I had set my stylus tracking weight for my Shure 97xe cartridge based on the counterweight configuration of the tonal arm on my technics SL-1210. Using this pressure gauge I found out it was tracking a little light at 1.1g as opposed to its 1.25g optimal. Nothing major but gives you the confidence that you're not going to damage your precious stylus or wear through it or the record faster. The gauge is surprisingly light and the plastics used are very thin and feel a little on the cheap side so I wouldn't say this is a premium product but does the job. It arrives with everything you need such as batteries, a 5g weight I assume for calibration and a faux leather case that smells a little "chemically" but nothing too off-putting. Simply insert the batteries, switch on and it's ready to go.

There are various iterations of what appears to be the same base model on Amazon, and I suspect that there is little or no difference between them. For myself, I plumped for the Neotech for no particular reason. I had never thought about buying one before, but I do like good sound and I am a bit of a sucker for gadgets. I was getting some photo paper on a lightning deal, thought that the price was nugatory for the scale, and thought, "Why not?" I was intrigued to see if such an item could really make a difference to my turntable set up (an old JVC playing through a gnarly but lovely old NAD amp). The scale comes bundled with a 5g weight and batteries, together with a small but functional case for storage.The weight supplied did appear to be manufactured to a good tolerance, measuring 5g on my electronic scales. The instructions are in a translated Chinese format, but it is fairly self-evident how the thing operates anyway. After peeling off the protective plastic screen from the weighing area, I decided to calibrate it using the weight, which was a simple process,and then weighed the force being exerted by the stylus. I had my counterweight set to 2.0g, but the force scale showed that the visual scale was not accurate (the scale showed a reading of 1.89g). After adjusting the counterweight to deliver the desired downforce, I played a record somewhat sceptically and was pleasantly surprised. There did appear to be an improvement in quality, so I have to say that this little gadget does appear to make a difference.

This scale is super accurate and helped to confirm that my stylus was correctly adjusted. It comes with a calibration weight, and is just easy to use out of the box!

This is a good product. Simple to set up and use. It allows very fine adjustments of tracking weight and is much better than the old manual balance I was using. Recommended.

I used the scale to adjust the counterweight position after changing cartridge on my Rega Planar 1. The recommended force 2 g is approx. in the middle of rhe range 0-5 g. The surface where the needle is put is good for the purpose and the height is correct.
