He sent me these, and I'm half Filipino, so I lost my mind when I got these -- they are delicious. So then I went hunting on desertcart and lo and behold, here they are. And now they are in my pantry again, they go quickly! If you're health conscious they serve twofold: they are not as salty and greasy as traditional Filipino garlic peanuts, which can literally leave a film on your fingers, be covered in salt, and while delicious, are even more caloric (and nuts are already caloric for small amounts). The other bonus is they are a great snack to stem the tide of snacking on carbs/fried things, and a small amount is really satisfying. The crisply garlic slices/chips mixed in are larger than most, too, and super yummy. Review: Addictive - The theory was that I’d use them to add crunch and flavor to rice and pasta and salads. The reality is that they’re so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating them just by themselves. I have eaten a whole jar in just a few days. I’m going to have to hide the other one so it escapes that fate, plus I really think that they’ll be a great flavor and textural addition. Sadly, of the two canisters I purchased, one was just stale (chewy, hard nuts and stale taste) and one was stale/old to the point of rancid! Both were inedible. The packaging is inadequate for freshness - the thin foil seal on the canister is paper thin and doesn't seal well at all, and the container and lid are made of very cheap plastic - obviously neither the seal nor the container is air tight.
