I wasn’t expecting these to be as solid as they are. Each light feels sturdy and well made, and they put out a lot more brightness than I thought something this small could. The color looks clean and even, and all three lights match perfectly, which is nice when you’re lighting a small scene. Battery life is decent — I get about an hour or so at half power — and they charge up pretty quick with USB-C. The mounts and little accessories make them super easy to stick anywhere or angle just right. I’ve used them for product shots and a bit of video, and they’ve been great for both. The carrying case is a nice touch too — keeps everything together and easy to grab. Overall, it’s just a really handy, well-thought-out kit that feels worth the price. If you do any filming, photos, or just want better lighting for your desk setup, this set is a great option.

I find myself not using these all that much now. I bought 3 of them and the plastic frame used to attach all the accessories all broke within days of each other. So, I have no way to attach all of these accessories that come with the lights. To be frank, it was sort of a pain to have to use them anyway since it was not easy to unsnap the frame from the body of the light. Adjusting the light intensity seem to cause an unnecessary amount of pressure and there was no sort of tactile indication for the power button. In other words, I often had to physically pick the light up to remind myself and visually see where the power button was to adjust the light intensity. This is very inconvenient when you have multiple of these set up and have to go to each one to find that button. The battery life is short. I felt myself under a lot of pressure to rush my photo sessions before the power ran out of the light. They do come with a lot of nice accessories such as color gels, diffusers, honeycomb and barn doors, etc,. For the price, I was actually quite happy with the amount and type of accessories. Update: I am updating my review after some brief contact with Smallrig. Smallrig made everything right immediately for me which I greatly appreciate. It is great that I don't have to resort to buying the next lighting option for me which would cost me about twice the price of these SmallRig Mini LEDs to do the same job. Smallrig stands by their products and I am impressed. I have many photography accessories including other products made by SmallRig. All of my other SmallRig products have been of high quality from day one including their Pix M160 LED panel lights which have been my main work horses for my photography lighting for a while now. It is great that I can continue to use these SmallRig MIni LED lights as intended for my shoots.

This thing is a Beast!! Super bright light with multiple filters and light options. Great for filming and being creative. A must for vloggers and film makers. Takes creativity to another level.

I have been dabbling in photography since the days when we would spend hours in the darkroom just to find out if that shot turned out how we expected so while I am not an expert I have plenty of experience with photography lights and equipment. This little LED light is bright... like insanely, blindingly bright and because of that it can very easily wash out the subject of your photo or video. We noticed when shooting lectures with a GoPro that the speaker would often appear pale and ghost white and we'd have to adjust or turn the light off entirely. When using the included filters and diffuser it was a bit better but it required a lot more tinkering that you'd expect. Now obviously this is exactly what the product promises... a bright white LED light that can be mounted on a camera so I do feel like it's a good product even if the price is a bit higher than it should be. And if you're shooting GoPro footage outdoors at night or while caving this light would be great mounted to your camera and lighting the way in front of you. But if you're looking for something affordable to use in a studio you will still be better off looking for something a bit softer with more than a couple of settings.

Professional lighting for cameras that dont have an electrical connection for flash attachments (cold shoe vs hot shoe). Way better, more features, brighter and worth it over those cheaper lights available right now. SmallRig is a great company. Hope they stay in buisness for years to come.

I seldom leave reviews but for this light set I couldn't resist. I am amazed at this set. Three of everything all included in a very nice little hard shell case with two inside sections and custom foam cutouts. I have been using it for macro work and it has been flawless. The lights themselves are 1 1/2 inch cubes and use USB C plugs for charging. I saw one review saying the magnets which hold accessories to the lights are weak. Nope. The accessories snap into place with a nice magnetic click and even if I grab the light and shake it they don't fall off or even move. When you first start taking the parts out you might think the magnetic snap on frames are missing. They're not. They are snapped onto the back of the honeycomb filters. Lights are powerful for their size with 4 levels of intensity. The little tripods are a little cheap but more than adequate for these little lights. I don't think the plastic is cheap at all like I saw on one review. All in all it's a great set that I am thrilled that I picked up.

I received these lights today from amazon. Awesome kit. None of the magnets are any good . Not a single one.

Great light for macro shooting!. The red filter isnt true red which might be an issue if you are filming insects at night

Amazed at how great these little lights are. We bought them for spotlighting focus points on tabletops for photography, but will be taking them camping with us as well. They pack a great little punch for their size and will be fantastic for around the kitchen area after dark without creating unnecessary light pollution that spills everywhere. And the USB-C recharging is a massive bonus. Highly recommended.

Powerful light and great value.

These are not powerful lights, and the batteries don't last for a long time, but they are bright enough for lighting up small spaces, like cars, and small enough to keep them hidden, even in plain sight, if you know what you're doing. They excel at being accent lights, and you can shape the light extensively using the included honeycomb grids, barn doors, snoots, and color gels. Magnetic accessories don't leak any light. Without any modifiers, the cubes make a 1m light circle with very soft edges at 1m distance.
