**Q: What is the best 3M adhesive / sealant for these plastic trim tabs on gelcoat? 3M 5200 seems too strong, I'm thinking 4200...**
A: 5200

**Q: Do these help with weight balancing like a traditional trim tab?**
A: Absolutely. I have them. Get them. My boat died not rock side to side like it used to and porpoising is nearly eliminated.

**Q: With these on, will I still be able to trim up some and raise the bow if need be? In rough or following seas.**
A: Yes the boat will still respond to stern leg trim adjustments.  When on the plane the tabs will be fully or partially retracted so minor trim adjustments will make a difference. Off the plane may need slightly increased throttle in addition to trim.
I have not had a problem with operating with a bow rider in moderately rough following seas. However I operate on a lake so my definition of rough could be milder than yours.

**Q: I have a carolina skiff j16 with a 25 hp mercury 2 stroke. which one do i need?**
A: Best to go to Nauticus website and they have a questionnaire which leads you through to most appropriate model.My guess will be the smallest model.
