At first, Feliway worked to reduce stress in my rescue cat who hides from me most of the time; no loud noises and I live alone. However I highly recommend using the Feliway diffuser together with the Royal Canin Calme food. You can purchase that through your veterinarian. **Q: I just received mine and it’s making a smell like a hot glue gun. It’s very strong. Is this supposed to happen or is this on defective?** A: Mine started smelling the same and I looked at the inside and the plastic interior had melted. Super scary. **Q: Does the diffuser still work if the green light isn’t lit but is warm to touch?** A: I don't know. I don't know if there's a way to turn off the green light.
