Better than expected!!!!!!
My Spiralizer arrived on time. I had just purchased zucchini, summer squash, butternut squash, onion, rutabaga and bell peppers to be ready to try this gadget out. First, "gadget" does not do this justice. It is a well made solid piece of kitchen equipment. It took a few moments only to get it ready to go. Zucchini was my first choice. I looked in the small instruction manual for which blade to use and it said all blades. Ok, for a newbie that's not helpful but there are so many GREAT instruction videos on the Brieftons site that it was easy to find one that gave me more specific directions. I slid the blade in, cut the ends off the zucchini and spun. Whoops...forgot the suction....a quick flip of the lever and the device was attached to the counter as if i'd bolted it. Spun again and out came strings of perfectly spiraled zucchini. It was that easy. I got to the end and pulled back the spinner. Out came a 1/4 inch or so of zucchini end along with the coolest tube of uncut zucchini from the middle. That core was delicious, a cooks benefit. Next up was summer squash which of course is nearly identical. Then Bell Pepper, I was amazed that bell pepper was suggested but what the heck. So I cut the top stem off and dug around inside to get the seeds out. Changed the blade to the one suggested in the video on the site and spun....wow, spiralized bell pepper. I'd never seen it and frankly wouldn't have believed it. Well by now I had quite a bit of food for dinner for two but I couldn't help but try an onion. Besides it would add a little zest to the meal, so I cut a fairly large onion in half, skinned it and stuck it in, spiral onion. I wasn't sure what would happen when pushing through something with the internal leaves of an onion but again, great results. So....now....well by now I did have a bunch of pieces of vege all over the Spiralizer. It was time to clean it up. This is a task that many times kills the love of a kitchen device. I loved my mandolin (not Brieftons, haven't tried theirs) till I had to clean it. And looking at the spiralizer it didn't look like it would be that easy. Well I was wrong, it was a snap to clean with a simple kitchen sink brush. Within 2 or 3 minutes every part was clean and put away. I will say I'm not one to dry things too diligently so it might take a little longer if you are fussy about that but it was easy. This thing is way better than I expected and even a little better than my most optimistic hopes. My next adventure is to get a lot of vege's and freeze the results. Off to see what it does to an Apple..... Update after 8 months. It's even better because I know more about how to use it. And I tried freezing Zucchini and Beets and they come out of the freezer perfect from ziplock bags. So now I buy several lbs of either one at a time and spiralize a bunch putting 12 oz in zip locks for 2 person dinners and freezing. The suction continues to work the entire time. I can easily do 5 lbs of zucchini in about 10 to 15 minutes. Beets take a little longer because I peel them. I'm still amazed and this is THE BEST KITCHEN ACCESSORY I've ever bought. Obviously from the reviews I'm in good company.

AMAZING
Well, I researched before I leaped. When I saw the Brieftons and read the reviews, I agonized over it for a few days. But then I decided, for the price, that I couldn't really go that wrong. My son is a hobby chef, although I think he'd put most professionals to shame, and he loves to cook for guests. I could NOT see myself trying to spiralize with a little handheld gadget. I wanted a device that would do large quantities fast. I wanted to do onions, cabbage, sweet potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, melons, pears, apples--you name it. I wanted a device that would do that for me. Well, I FOUND IT! This thing works like you won't believe. I've done zucchini noodles, yellow squash noodles, and loved them as substitute noodles under a homemade spaghetti sauce. Yummy, but a carb free dinner! Well, let me rephrase that. A dinner with the only carb being in the sauce, and that is such a minimal amount of carb grams that it barely counts, compared to a pile of actual pasta. And what I learned is that I enjoy zoodles far more than I do actual pasta. They are so much more flavorful! Just be careful with seasoning. THINK NOODLES OR PASTA. They have little flavor. I want the contrast between a flavorful sauce and a blander noodle base. I made the mistake of over seasoning my veggie noodles only once. I really enjoy them if they are seasoned with only pepper, a very light addition of salt, as in VERY light, and some granulated garlic. In my opinion, lightly seasoned, they are better tasting than actual pasta. On this gadget, the suction cup, one large one, works fabulously. It hasn't lost grip on me a single time. The creators also included a little push handle, to put slight pressure on the vegetable as you process it. Works fabulously. I have had no issues with "pushing" a vegetable through, period. Zoodles, aka zucchini noodles, for a huge crowd are a breeze, and also easy to prepare for one or two people because the cleanup is so fast. The Brieftons washes up easily. I use a toothbrush to get the bits out. Tonight carrots left color, but with a brisk and brief scrub with a toothbrush dedicated to this gadget, the stain washed away instantly. I think avoiding stains could be eliminated by washing it off soon after use. Imagine only running water over it with a little dish detergent. I bought two heads of cabbage, one green, one red. I wanted to make a fabulous coleslaw with a non-creamy dressing. I was amazed! Use the flat blade! This thing will make quick work of a head of cabbage or an onion. I only used half of a green head. I found a recipe for a light coleslaw dressing, no mayo or cream, and our guest said that she loved the fact that the cabbage was sliced so thin! I agreed. Packaged cabbage slaw cannot compare. So how much do those bags of prepared coleslaw cost? I never really looked. But I now know that freshly done cabbage tastes so much better, and I also know that I'm saving money, which means that this kitchen gadget will pay for itself in no time at all. My coleslaw was beyond good. Can you imagine? Buy a head of cabbage. Wash it off. Pick away any discolored parts. Slap it in, using a flat blade, and before you know it, as in seconds, you have grated cabbage, cut thin for enhanced flavor. Do two carrots, and toss in some diced dried cherries, and make a fabulous no-cream dressing, and you have a culinary delight. I'm so sold on this product! No, I didn't get it free. I am not writing a review because I will be rewarded. The reward, for me, is the product itself, and the savings I will see. Want to make coleslaw? Well, shred your cabbage quickly by yourself. Don't buy that stale stuff, already shredded. The taste difference, to me, is amazing. And the savings is also amazing. Don't buy premade Zoodles, all nicely packaged. Buy a couple of zucchini and make your own so fast that you'll wonder, "What was I thinking?" I would recommend this to a friend. I WILL recommend this to a friend.

Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, and Gets the Job Done
I’ve been using this product for a little while now, and overall it performs exactly the way you’d hope for something in this price range and category. It’s straightforward to operate, with no confusing steps or unnecessary features slowing you down. From unboxing to first use, it took only a couple minutes to figure out, which I appreciated. One of the strongest points is how easy it is to store. It doesn’t take up much space, and it fits neatly into a drawer or cabinet without any fuss. For a kitchen tool you’re not using every single day, that matters. Cleaning it is also refreshingly simple. No odd crevices, no specialty brushes needed, and everything rinses clean without effort. After repeated use, nothing stained or trapped residue, which is a big win. Functionally, it does the job well. You’re not buying a premium, professional-grade tool here, but for everyday, practical use, it’s reliable. It handles its core task consistently, without slipping, stalling, or giving you uneven results. You won’t get anything flashy or high-end, but you will get a tool that works the way it should, every time. The reason I landed at 3 out of 4 stars is simply that while it’s solid and dependable, it doesn’t overperform or bring anything exceptional to the table. It meets expectations cleanly, but doesn’t exceed them. If you’re looking for something easy, functional, and low-maintenance, this product checks all the boxes. It’s a no-drama tool that does its job, stores easily, and cleans up fast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Spiralizer for Healthy Eating
The Brieftons 5-Blade Vegetable Spiralizer is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to incorporate more vegetables into their diet. Whether you’re following a low-carb, paleo, gluten-free, or vegan lifestyle, this spiralizer makes meal prep fun and easy. This spiralizer is built to last. It’s the strongest and heaviest spiral slicer I’ve used, which makes it incredibly stable and durable. It doesn’t wobble or slip while in use, thanks to the solid suction base that keeps it firmly in place on the countertop. With five different blades, this spiralizer offers great versatility. It can create a variety of cuts, from thin spaghetti to thick ribbons, perfect for all kinds of dishes. The extra blade caddy is a thoughtful addition, keeping everything organized and safe. The spiralizer is straightforward to assemble and disassemble. It’s user-friendly, even for beginners, and the blades are easy to swap out. The hand crank operates smoothly, and vegetables glide through effortlessly, producing consistent, even spirals. The included recipe ebooks are a fantastic bonus. They provide creative and delicious ideas for using the spiralizer, making it easy to get started and keep meals interesting. This tool has been a amazing for my diet. It makes it simple to prepare vegetable noodles and other creative veggie dishes, helping me stick to my health goals. It’s perfect for making zucchini noodles, sweet potato curly fries (air fried of course), and more. Cleanup: Cleaning the spiralizer is a breeze. The parts are dishwasher safe, and the design minimizes crevices where food can get stuck, making it easy to wash by hand as well. Tips for Best Results: Choose Fresh Vegetables: For the best spirals, use firm, fresh vegetables. Softer vegetables can become mushy and harder to spiralize. Trim Ends Evenly: Cut the ends of your vegetables evenly to ensure a stable grip in the spiralizer. Use a Gentle, Steady Motion: Don’t rush the process. Use a gentle, steady motion to crank the handle for consistent spirals. Clean Blades Immediately: Cleaning the blades right after use prevents food from drying and makes cleanup much easier. Zucchini Noodle Recipe: Ingredients: 2 medium zucchinis 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Fresh basil for garnish (optional) Instructions: Prepare the Zucchini: Wash the zucchinis and trim the ends. Use the Brieftons 5-Blade Vegetable Spiralizer to create zucchini noodles. Cook the Noodles: Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add Zucchini Noodles: Add the zucchini noodles to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic and oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are just tender. Do not overcook to avoid sogginess. Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil. Serve: Serve immediately as a healthy side dish or as a base for your favorite pasta sauce. Overall: The Brieftons 5-Blade Vegetable Spiralizer is a top-notch kitchen gadget. It’s sturdy, versatile, and easy to use, with great additional resources to inspire healthy cooking. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add more vegetables to their diet in a fun and tasty way! It really helps :)

A Compact, Responsive, Easy-to-Use Workhorse & Travel Partner
A Compact, Responsive, Easy-to-Use Workhorse & Travel Partner Brieftons has super-fast shipping, outstanding products and customer service, and this BR-5B-02 spiralizer is a joy to operate. It is: easy to use; ultra-responsive, fast-working; compact enough for travel; and bundled with 5 super-sharp Blades. This might be their best spiralizer yet! A. GENERAL NOTES: 1. Take the spiralizer out of the box. Note that it is small, compact, and easy to store, with the 2 extra Blades held in the plastic Blade Storage Caddy/ container, while 2 other Blades are kept under the unit and a third is in the Blade Rack. Because this unit is small and compact, it would be easy to travel with – fully assembled. 2. Wash the unit and all 5 Blades in warm, soapy water to remove industrial manufacturing residue. Then, dry fully before using. 3. Note that the unit comes fully assembled to save time in having to match up the different steps on the instruction sheet with graphics. 4. * Optional: I flipped over each of the 5 Blades after having arranged them in size from: 2 mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, 5.5 mm, to Flat. I took a permanent/ indelible marker and wrote the sizes on the flat bottom tab that inserts into the Blade Rack. This saves me lots of time in having to match up Blade sizes to the instruction sheet with graphics. You may choose not to do this. 5. Some olive oil should be rubbed on the Platform slide and then, the slide tracks should be oiled to eliminate squeaks and to allow constant ease in spiralizing. Reapply when needed. 6. For spiralizing, I don’t use the light-green Side Handle because it is more comfortable for me to use my left hand, instead, to hold the Blade plate secured into the Rack. Some people, however, may find that using the side handle is more comfortable for them. 7. To more securely grasp the food, always stab/ poke food ends before inserting them into the Holder on one side and the small, round, metal Spindle core on the Blade plate, on the other end. 8. Use a large square plate or rectangular baking dish to collect food. 9. Brieftons spiralizers typically produce 3-4 foot-long food spirals, which are beautiful to see coming out of the unit, and are great for dinner party guests to see to go ‘ooh and aah’. I take kitchen shears, however, to cut down the lengths, to make them easier to eat. Using these shears is a safe activity that children could do to help out their parents when they spiralize. 10. Always peel hard foods like sweet potato, first, to make them faster to spiralize. I use the Brieftons super-sharp Vegetable Peeler (also with Japanese #420 stainless steel blades) when I peel any food. I then toss all peels into our food (as well as cores, etc.). 11. Note that there is a Platform slide safety mechanism, which stops this slide slightly before reaching the Rack (with Blade in it), preventing the Platform slide from running into the teeth of the Holder and damaging them; this is one feature that many spiralizers don’t have, and it is an important one to have to save time by not having to think about when to stop working. In essence, the user starts, uses, and stops with ease and speed throughout the entire spiralizing process. 12. Blade insertion and removal is a dream – so easy, yet the Blades lock securely into the Blade Rack base on the Body, to protect the user and surrounding people who are nearby, from having unsecured blades pop out and do injury. 13. Note that the Blades are super-sharp, so they must be handled with care. As a precaution, the user may want to wear special gloves that are: cut-resistant/ cut-proof, ‘no-cut’, safety (stainless steel) when handling and cutting with sharp objects like knives and blades. 14. When the unit is flipped over, there is 1 big rubber Suction Pad on the right side, under the Lock Lever, with a rubberized light-green bumper on the edge under the Rack; both are needed to secure the unit down on the counter/ marble cutting board. Watch my vid and note that this spiralizer (like all Brieftons tabletop units) picks up my 11.25 pound (5 kilo) marble cutting board with ease. This means that the Pad is strong enough to do work. Thus, it is imperative to keep the Suction Pad and the cutting board surface always clean before doing any work. 15. When securing the Suction Pad onto the marble board/ non-porous counter, be sure to firmly grasp the unit Lock Lever to be able to have adequate shoulder/ arm strength to push the Lever DOWN to secure the Pad. (Raise your body up slightly off of the ground if you aren’t tall. I rise up on my toes because of the added height of my marble cutting board.) People who are shorter may need to rise up at least 6” from our standard counter height in order to do this. Conversely, the problem can be solved by using a riser/ box of some sort to raise themselves up at least 6”. Note that for this reason (needing adequate shoulder/ arm strength to lock the lever down), it is advisable NOT to do the following: do NOT spiralize at a kitchen table, desk, or even a coffee table; no spiralizer works well this way. Therefore, always stand but at a height in which the shoulders and arms are ABOVE/ OVER the counter – not straight or even slightly lower. (*Note that all tabletop spiralizer brands and models are affected by user height, in order to have the power to spiralize – not just Brieftons models. You will see this in all professional demo spiralizer vids.) 16. Cleaning is done by using a small, soft brush to remove food bits from the Blades, the unit Holder, and the Spirilizer Body under running tap water, and then adding dish soap and baking soda all the while brushing and cleaning them under the tap constantly. For foods that stain (sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, etc.), after removing the food bits with the brush and washing with the soap and baking soda, form a paste with these 2 items: let sit 20 minutes, scrub with the brush, and rinse. Repeat at 20 minute intervals if needed until all stains are removed. Doing this seems to temper the plastic to guard against having to do many future paste intervals. (This is a similar process to tempering a wok [maybe redoing it every so often], in order to create a pan that doesn’t stick in the future.) B. COMMON FOODS TO SPIRALIZE with SOME BR-5B-02 BLADE MM NUMBERS TO USE: (Experiment on your own to find other Blade combinations.) 1. Onion: FLAT for spirals 2. Zucchini/ Calabazza: 2-3 MM for spirals 3. Bell Peppers: FLAT for spirals (Note: Use green, red, yellow, orange veg that are square only – not elongated, twisted varieties that don’t spiralize.) 4. Russett/ Baking Potato: 3 MM for spirals 5. Sweet Potato: 5.5 MM for spirals (peeled beforehand because this is a hard food) 6. Carrot: 2 MM for spirals 7. Cucumbers: 3 MM for spirals 8. Beets: 5 - 5.5 MM for spirals 9. Cabbage: FLAT for shreds 10. Potato Chips: FLAT 11. V-shaped Chips: FLAT (with 2 ditches, pre-cut at 180 degrees apart: see the brieftons.com demo vid/ instruction sheet with graphics) C. PRODUCT & COMPANY INFORMATION: This Brieftons BR-5B-02 Spiralizer with 5 Blades (the 2nd 5-Blade spiralizer, the 2017 edition) is a strong, sturdy lateral machine workhorse/ travel partner, made of super-strong, long-lasting, impact-resistant, BPA-free ABS plastic and super-sharp (rust-free) Japanese #420 grade steel Blades. This can only happen with honesty and transparency toward buyers, and Brieftons demonstrates this. D. A Blade Rack release, so that the Rack doesn’t jimmy or wobble sideways and pull up to dislodge itself while doing work 3. A Blade Plate safety to lock into the Rack for faster spiralizing without having to think about when to stop working 4. Easy insert/ release of Blades 5. An already pre-assembled unit to use right away (after washing) 6. An extra plastic Blade Storage Caddy for 2 Blades 7. A small footprint for travelling 8. A very low price point and a much better quality than almost any other Brand name on the market, making this model affordable for everybody In sum, Brieftons is committed to bringing users the best products, and this model is its latest 5-Blade unit. Watch my accompanying video to see how this buyer (me) walks you through using it.

Not working as advertised.
I have been trying to use about 5 times now and every time I discovered it is a real challenge. Definitely, I can state this: it is a nice machine for soft raw vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, squash... however, if you want to put in your salad carrots, beets, or any other kind of hard vegetables make sure you blanch them before. Please don't overcook other wise it wouldn't work well either. I am going to return it. Unfortunately, it is not worthy.

Easy to use and clean
I have not yet used all of the blades, but the ones I have worked very well. I especially like the side handle to hold on to for better leverage when turning the spiralizing handle. The suction to hold the machine is extremely strong. It doesn't move at all. The machine and all of the blades are compact and easy to store. Definitely a great purchase!
