Thes oval shape covers so much hair. And it fits great on my blow dryer. The collapse makes it great for traveling. And it doesn't collapse easily while drying, it does hold up. I saw other reviews say different, but I had a good experience. ### ⭐ Awful! *by N***T on February 24, 2023* Too big and because it is silicone you can’t press it against your hair. It collapses. I returned it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Large and Lightweight but Shallow and Collapses a Bit Too Easily *by R***A on October 31, 2022* I’m fairly new to diffusers and am a fan of the Black Orchid because it is large and deep (and my hair just barely brushes my shoulders, so I don’t have as much hair as some others), but it is a major pain to travel with. Additionally, I went to a hotel once and brought my Black Orchid with my Snozzle Pro, but it didn’t fit the hair dryer at the hotel.I was planning a cruise anyway, so I invested in this diffuser. It is oval and not round, so it is larger than many of the others sold here and elsewhere. I used it both at home with my own blow dryer and during my cruise this past week using the dryer provided by the cruise line, as well as at the hotel the night before using the hotel’s blow dryer. My blow dryer is narrow enough that the “collar” of the diffuser is folded out, but the one on the cruise ship and in the hotel needed it tucked in to accommodate a wider blow dryer. (Neither was one of the ones that snaps into a wall but still, they had wide nozzles.)Anyway, this diffuser accommodated both the narrow and the wide blow dryers equally well. I do like the wide size of the diffuser itself, which did make it a little tough to handle, and although I might have done better with a round one, those of you with more hair than I might appreciate the larger, oval shape. I do wish it were a bit deeper.My only complaint is that it does like to collapse on you while you’re diffusing. I suppose it’s just the nature of using a diffuser that collapses nicely into your suitcase. Beggars can’t be choosers. It took me a bit to get the hang of using this diffuser, but eventually I did, so it didn’t collapse quite as often on me.If you’re expecting the performance of an “at-home” diffuser, you’re going to be disappointed, but this diffuser is far better than no diffuser at all if you cannot afford the luggage space for a regular one (or don’t want to risk breaking one during your travels).
