Will a 2.4 mm ball and chain necklace fit through this pendant opening?

The opening is oval. At its widest point it appears to be about 4.0 mm. So, I would say yes, but I do not have a 2.4 mm ball and chain to actually test it.

Is this nickel and lead free?

Not sure. The best I can find out it is a base metal, but doesn't say what that is. I've used them for years to make pendants without any complaints. I try to get the antique silver color. Doesn't turn

Yes, I've used diamond glaze. I use for picture diamond glaze cabachon to picture and girrlila glue stick to glue cabachon with picture to tray
